It's now obvious that there will be no post utme exams. So how will candidates get admitted, are all candidates that scored 180 and above in UTME be admitted for their chosen courses? Is there going to be varying degree of chances of getting admitted as regards state of origin? Will there be 'mago-mago' in the admission processes? |

the issue of post-utme has been a wide spread news... Post-ume or not pls read at home.... And my candid advice to those that apply for Uniabuja. If you know that you have anybody in the school that is a senior staff or better still a lecturer or someone in a high ranking post... Pls, try and submitt ur credentials to the person... Even if not in the school... It might be a staff of jamb office or national university commission or anything that is related to education. Because names are been submitted... ''This one no be i hear but i don see''. Pls, try and submitt if u know someone in the school... Thank you... My own information about the post-utme is that it seems that the school might not be conducting her post-ume cos there was a circular that is being placed at the entrance of the school gate but i did not see any signature in the circular so i see it still as a rumour too... Cos i can type and paste at the school gate.... If there won't be a post-ume the school will use the system of last year to admitt student this year again.... So, try and submitt ur details to someone u know that can help u gain admission... Pls, i can't help you in the area of admission cos i don't want issues.... Thank you... Pls don't give out false info abt accreditation...and you guys should neglect any info about accreditation...it was only law that loses their accreditation which it doesn't stop them from admitting student..In my faculty, MICROBIOLOGY loses their accreditation and They admit student which they will still do...Am David,BIOLOGY dept. By Chidimma C. Okeke Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has accredited undergraduate engineering programme of the University of Abuja. Registrar of the council, Engr. W. Kamila Maliki, in a statement said that two of the four engineering courses had been accorded full accreditation while the other two have interim accreditation. The courses with full accreditation are Chemical Engineering and Civil Engineering while Electrical and Mechanical Engineering courses have interim accreditation. Deputy Registrar UniAbuja, Waziri Garba, quoted the COREN Registrar as saying that the full and interim accreditation status were valid for five and two years respectively. The statement gave the effective date of the accreditation as 26th March, 2015, saying: "There will be random visits to the university within the period of validity to check on the state of facilities." While urging the university management to comply strictly with the recommendations contained in the council report to ensure that standards are not only maintained, but improved upon, COREN warned that accreditation may be withdrawn if there is clear evidence of falling standard. |
