I used to suffer frm low self confidence bt with help frm friends, i hav been able to become a lil bit extroverted bt i hav a big problem and dat is i feel shy and tense when walking on da road. Am jst wondering if dis happens to anyone else or do i still hav a long way in buildin my self confidence

Take it one step at a time. Gradually build up your 'street' confidence as well and with time you will look back and laugh at this. One thing that will help you is that you should see yourself as the best of YOU; not better than anyone else or underneath anyone. Just better being you with your strenghts and imperfections.
