sorry, only fools would take Nigeriantimes seriously. apparently, even the mods of nairaland take that website seriously. I mean this is a website created specifically to launder the image of the last administration by trying to write rubbish about buhari's presidency.

Whatever be the case, the truth is that the man is qualified for the Job both academically and experience wise. Looks like he is also someone of impeccable character. Only IBB and T.Y Danjuma interest in that position is what I'm trying to figure out.

I can't remember when a minister of state for petroleum has ever been appointed since 1999. Stop fooling yourself.

I said it they have started. pull him down. now they are saying buhari appointed him because he was put forward by some powerful forces. its no longer competency again. this researchers should also go and dig into how other appointees under this administration were appointed, leave this man kachukwu alone

I know you dont even mean what you ve just said, you got me laughing when i read the part you said 'PMB is about the most informed president we have......' please you guys shld stop making Nigeria look silly. PMB and being 'informed' are two strange bed fellows.
Btw the new GMD of NNPC is very qualified for his new office,we shld all give him a chance to turn things around.
Why are people in so much haste to disagree.

Did you see the conclusion of the sentence to know I was specific enough to identify my claim with the oil and gas industry? Isn't it obvious you deliberately avoided the conclusion of the statement because you know it to be true but would not be caught admitting to it?

Do you know any other president who had so much exposure to the oil and gas industry prior to assuming the presidency?

Do you even know Buhari held this very same post he just appointed Kachiukwu to?
Do you even know he was once petroleum minister?
Is the PTF he headed not connected to petroleum revenue earned by the country and what infrastructure they were expended?

Did you see "as far as our peculiar oil and gas industry is concerned."

If you find me another president who was once an NNPC head and petroleum minister, then I will accept my error.

Read calmly and stop being in haste to disagree.

I've said this before that the pple who were hailing Buhari will be the same ones that will tear him apart especially if the policies he is implementing do not favour them and it is now happening. There is no one that Buhari will appoint that rubbish stories will not follow as to why he appointed such a person, how are we so sure that this propaganda is not being stirred up by disgruntled APC leaders that wanted their own people to be in charge of NNPC and the petroleum Ministry but aren't meaning no access to oil blocks and juicy oil appointments. There were unconfirmed rumours that Tinubu wanted Mofe Boyo to be GMD NNPC or Minister of Petroleum but this has not worked out. Very soon they will say the appointment was to protect Northerners who own oil blocks.
It's a known fact that IBB knows Kachikwu as IBB attended Kachikwu's daughters wedding but is this enough to say Buhari struck a deal with IBB and Danjuma? Anyway only time will tell what the true position is as Kachikwu himself was almost rejecting the offer because of politics and slander until Buhari convinced him to take it, now exactly what the man feared is happening.

Conjectures.... There is nobody that will come into government without recommendations..
. All other story is extraneous and simply Conjectures to spice up the simple matter of someone recommending a qualified person for a job.

Hmmmm, this smells like traditional Yoruba propaganda of blackmail against anybody Igbo; smells like Yoruba negative and usually bitter propaganda has started in earnest in Buhari's administration.

Yoruba controls the media, it would not even mind incriminating Buhari to get badly against anybody Igbo.

Through its media, Yoruba practically incriminated every Igbo in Jonathan administration. At one point, people would forget that Yoruba, or Fulani or the other tribes not Igbo also served in Jonathan's administration, as Yoruba continued to pick on one Igbo after the other in Jonathan's administration, until the administration was voted out.

That it even exist shows that the government has been short-changing itself.

Wait for Buhari to unveil his model for the importation of deficit oil we cannot refine locally, then you will admit that the subsidy as it existed then was a fraud only served to a misinformed president surrounded by brilliant thieves.

Journalism is a job mostly for people who do not want to exert energy or dirty their shirts take to. The SW people control the media houses all over Nigeria. You can imagine the level of junk journalism in Nigeria.

Once anything does not suit the SW, they take to junk journalism.

Maybe you should tell your people to stop stealing, and when they do, you their tribesman should learn to let justice take its due course like it did under OBJ (with Sunday Afolabi, Tafa Balogun, Akwanga, Fabian Osuji) and Yar Adua (with Prof. Adenike Grange and Bode George).

Your propaganda is the same source as PDP propaganda.

You are your own enemies.

It was because Obj made himself the minister. Did he ever lead Nigeria outside the country to perform the duty of a petroleum minister ? NO because he won't be recognized !

So the whole responsibilities still falls on the minister of state. Was there anytime we had both ministers as cabinet members ?
