Hello sir God is making you bigger and bigger. One in kwara and another in Lagos. Weldone

Please how much is the cost of the foundation because I'm planning on buying abd building on a waterlogged land but i want to have an idea of how much it will cost to do a raft foundation like this. Please how much did the foundation only cost.

Thank you.
Amin. Thanks

Spent 1.5m on this foundation. The place is not so waterlogged though. It's semi-dry

Hmmm...most homes in the US are wood frame structures. It is not something for only the mega rich. The logging industry is a huge here. I guess lumber is more readily available and less expensive here.

Here in the US you would have to be mega rich to afford a house built this way. smiley
I've been looking for sources of US quality wood but I haven't found a source in Nigeria yet.

I'll do more search on the ground in a week.

It's a shame that we're not using our natural resource of wood even though we are smack dab in a rain forest.

Well done Jarus.

Just a short one: does the 7 million spent to far include the foundation for the main building or just the "man quarter" ?

Yes, foundation inclusive. I haven't. Started the BQ.

Ok I get you. I asked because one of the pix you posted above included a raft (?) foundation of what appears a bigger building together with the already roofed building and I mistakenly jumped into conclusion that the roofed building must be the BQ. If you've spent 7 mill so far, you may easily spend over 10 mill at completion for a bungalow. Are you happy with the spend so far or you think you could have done better in some areas?

Maybe we could have done better, but we did close monitoring of purchases as much as possible.

With 1.5m, this should be rounded up, insha Allaah.

However, I spent well over 10m on my Kwara bungalow, though it has better design and a twin-BQ.

the cost of building a concrete home is only slightly more than a wooden framed house in America and it's lasts longer, require less maintenance, less prone to damages from bush fires, earthquakes and destructive strong winds, your insurance payments would be less and you would have less heating and cooling costs. please Google it.
