non-locals can resort to English and pidgin. And yes, i speak pidgin, every nigerian that lives in Nigeria knows how to speak it. The simplest language in Nigeria, easily learned since its derived from English, some words though.
So what the simplest sentence you can say with yours that wouldn't crack the internet?
