Please, has anybody applied to study medicine in Germany?
Some may have applied, but it's rare to find, because even in Germany the course has a national numerus clausus, so I believe this may be the reason why, also I do not think you can easily find a medical course without at least a B1 German knowlege requirement but notwithstanding you could search the daad to see if you can find English taught medicine programs.
My two onions. Cheers.

Thanks for your response. Yes the language requirement is german at least B1. There's no English taught program.
I will like to apply though, I'm just wondering if learning german up to that level is difficult and if the application procedure is different from other Bsc.
I've been going through daad, had even emailed some schools but they mentioned a "studenkellog" then an exam. It's just complicated.

Thanks though.

Studienkolleg is a one year preparation for ur studies . That is, if u know zero German and u are going for a German course. It is usually a good thing. They teach German as well as other subjects related to ur course of study and then in the end of the year u will write an exam. After then u can start ur course. U may already have B1 in German by then which makes studying even easier.

Hello guys, I got a message from my bank few minutes ago. It says that all banks have been directed not to accept foreign deposit. I am confused. Does that mean I cannot pay my semester contribution through the bank? Someone who understands this new rule should explain to me.

what happened to this question?
Please, we need answers

Danke

For Aok (govt insurance) u pay a fine...and the bank charge u 1.50 euro if u re using a direct debit .

The best option in such situation is to call ur insurance coy and resolve it asap.

PS: I wont advise anybody to default unless its above ur control...cos in RUB its the easiest way for ur studentship to be revoked...once u default more than 3 times or so AOk may terminate ur contract nd inform the uni and one important condition for u to be a student is health insurance... and u still get to pay that money with interest accured or u will be reported to Schufa..then ur credit rating is gone ...cant get loans..cant buy stuffs via contract ( installmental payment) some cases some landlord requires credit check before rentin out apartments.

Brother I don't know this, but I suggest that in any case, go to your bank tomorrow and ask them to be very sure. That in my opinion, is the most certain way of understanding this. All the best

Well its a temporary measure to check money laundering. This policy affects direct transfer from Domiciliary account. You can still use Form A normally to pay your semester fees.

Medicine is a competitive course and you require at least 1.5 from your Arbitur to be considered. With German skill i would say C1 is the minimum requirement.

with B1 knowledge you need extra hard work to pass the Aufnahmeprüfung.

Please my interview is soon. I'm going for Bsc
1) I need to know if the declaration of age done by myself would be acceptable or the one done by my parents on my behalf. Since in the checklist on their website requires the former
2)is primary school certificate important for the interview
3) I don't have any old biographic docs.

Please help answer this. Thanks as Always

1.Haba how can you declare your age by yourself? na you born yourself?

2. primary school cert is irrelevant but if you have it, you can as well add it.
3. forget about that one. it wasn't important when i was interviewed.

Guys I think this news published by Punch concerns us here, hence I decided to share it

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Sunday directed all authorised dealers in the foreign exchange to give priority to customers seeking foreign currency for the payment of school fees, students maintenance allowances as well as other business and personal allowances for overseas travels.

The apex bank said this in a statement by the Director, Corporate Communications Department, Alh Muazu Ibrahim.
The bank, in the statement, assured forex users that it would continue to meet their demands so long such demands were for legitimate purposes.
The statement reads in part, “The CBN wishes to inform the general public that all legitimate requests for foreign currency for eligible transactions such as remittances for school fees, student maintenance allowances, Basic Travel Allowance, medical and other eligible transactions shall be fully met at the official/interbank exchange rate.
“Already, all the legitimate demand for such transactions through recognized channels have so far been fully met by the CBN.
“The CBN hereby directs all authorised dealers in foreign exchange in Nigeria to henceforth treat as top priority all legitimate demand for foreign exchange for eligible transactions.”
The bank advised individuals that wished to source foreign currency for such eligible transactions to approach their banks with their legitimate demands as the apex bank had made adequate provisions for all such purposes.
The statement said holders of Naira denominated debit and credit cards would continue to have access to the use of their cards at Automated Teller Machines in any part of the world.
This, it however, added, would be subject to the annual limit of $50,000, noting that ATM withdrawals would continue to be at a maximum of $300 per day

If you are not in haste, use NIPOST. Tell them you want to do registered mail to Germany. It will get there in two weeks. When I did mine last year, it cost me #650.

@Michlan
In addition to this, fedex is 9k3 and it will be delivered in 3 days or 4 days max. As for DHL, it is the cheapest among the two provided you can be given student price like Uche has pointed out and with the same number of delivery days. But the problem is, not all the DHL outlets know about the student price. Some may even call their HQ in your presence to convinced you that it is not possible, but you will have to stand your ground and move around other outlets. I'm sure you will surely get one that will give you the student price. These two have been proven by me and some people on this thread as very reliable. Shalom
