The only thing slowing down Igbo nation is dumbass termed Nigeria. Imagine where Ndiigbo control their seaports and airports including other economic infrastructures, the sky shall be their limit. I am working very hard to see the disintegration of the zoo called Nigeria. |

60% of Nigerian abroad are igbos . Really ? Maybe in South Africa and China abroad. Definitely not in the UK ,Canada ,Australia, the Americas Just like when these guys conjured a story of how most black American were igbos taken during the slave trade when in actual fact , their numbers do not even register at all . Insignificant. In fact , majority are Yorubas . From below the link below The ancestors of current-day Yoruba people from West Africa - which is one of the largest African ethnic groups - provided the largest contribution of genes from Africa to all current-day American populations http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3009647/America-s-melting-pot-revealed-Scientists-map-genetic-fingerprint-colonisation-make-surprising-discoveries.html http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/gnxp/2010/05/genetic-variation-among-african-americans/#.Vck0x4p4WJI |

Hahaha!!!! Lmao!!!! Jesus christ!!!! This useless Op is the most worthless Nigerian/Igbo/Biafran on earth. He said that 60% of Nigerian abroad are Igbos and went further to mention US and Europe where i have spent 20yrs of my life. I used to live in US before we relocated back to UK few years ago and I have equally visited Republic of Ireland on several occasions. I can bet my whole life on the fact that Igbos are not up to 20% of total numbers of Yorubas in these following countries: UK, CANADA AND IRELAND. In US, story seems a little bit different cos there are more Igbos in US than what they have got in aforementioned countries. Having said this, Igbos are not up to 40% of Yorubas in US. Go to Dublin, London and Atl etc and see how Yorubas language is being learnt by Asians and the Europeans. Even on the streets of these aforementioned countries... |

It's wrong to say that we get less 'cause we produce less. Do you at all know that 50% of the Oil that sustains your "one nigeria," comes from Igbo land? So, it is pure thievery that we get less from the federal coffers which is the reason why we want out so that the real parasites (the yorubas and the hausas) will be clearly seen for what they are. Also as for Nollywood being Igbo dominated, that is not about to change anytime soon 'cause it's our invention. hausas have their kannywood so yorubas had better channel their energy toward developing oduawood. shogz89: |

nwanlecha:Please and please, answer my question, do you live in any of these countries i mentioned? It's only a wicked human being and a liar that would say that Igbos are up to half of Yorubas in those 4 countries: US, CANADA, UK, IRELAND. If you claim that my info is nothing but lies, I challenge you to meet me at Elephant and Castle after work tomorrow around 5:30pm so as to take the population of Nigerians on the streets; Nigerians coming from work. 96% businesses in those aforementioned countries are owned and run by Yorubas. I actually expected Igbos to dominate this sector but totally failed. The following are the biggest Nigeria grocery stores in UK Topmost yoruba Ades- Yorubas Bims- Yoruba. etc No single Igbo man in business sector apart from one single Igbo guy after Tasty restaurant in Woolwich |

If the Biafra war was to be fought today, the Igbos in the US alone will finance the war.Nigerians In Diaspora Remit $1.7 billion Home Yearly From Simeon Nwakaudu, Makurdi NIGERIANS in the Diaspora remit over $1.7 billion yearly to family members and friends at home, an avenue of finance that can be exploited by the Federal Government for national development. This disclosure was made by Prof. Toyin Falola of the University of Texas, Austin, United States (U.S.), during a public lecture he delivered at the Benue State University, Makurdi on Thursday. Speaking on the topic "Citizens at Home, Citizens Abroad and the Globalisation of Knowledge," Falola declared that Nigerians in the Diaspora make huge remittances that could be translated to the good of the nation annually. Falola, who was invested with the Julius Nyerere Professorial Chair of Modern African History by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Paul Akase Sorkaa, on the same day, disclosed that during the Olusegun Obasanjo administration, he suggested the introduction of a Diaspora Tax for Nigerians abroad, especially in the West, as their contribution to national development. However, he stated that such a tax might be impracticable because of the challenges of corruption and the application of resources that may accrue there from. He said: "If the Nigerian Civil War had taken place 20 years after the time it took place, it would have lasted more than three years because the Igbo in United States alone can finance the entire civil war." Falola noted that several countries of the world have taken advantage of their large Diaspora communities to finance development back home, saying that Nigeria should do the same. He stated that the State of Israel came into being and was nurtured into the technological giant it is today through the financial contributions of its Diaspora community in the U.S. Falola also cited the Philippines as a country where highly qualified nurses are trained and sent out to work in other countries and pay Diaspora taxes to their home country for its growth. He regretted that in Africa, the situation is such that highly qualified professionals were trained only for them to migrate to other developed nations, due to harsh economic realities, where they contribute to strengthen the economies of their host countries. The don stated that Africa lost 13 million of its citizens to the developed world through slavery, while the harsh economic realities of the Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP) drove another 15 million to Western countries in the 1980s. Falola said: "I am proposing the practical and academic integration of Africa with its Diaspora citizens in many ways that ideas, goods and people can freely circulate for the upliftment of all so that we can move to the centre of world history." In his remarks, Prof. Sorkaa said the university was moving towards collaborating with the Nigerian intelligentsia in the Diaspora to develop a stronger academic environment that would help the nation. https://www.nairaland.com/369012/nigeria-beware-igbos-wealth-u.s |
