hey guys i need shear this with u

today I was at my internet service providers office owned by Indians at illupeju i asked of their oga at the top to say hello and inform him I will be off the country to Canada cos we kinda close he told me he just came from Indian to resolve his son's issue with CIC in India.

the issue of denial after medicals was a problem too in India due to so many Complains India government petitioned CIC and the excuse given was too much applications so in other to save time cos most resumption dates are near they send medical request to applicants while their apps are still being processed if ur app is OK they send u approval mail if not then it a denial.

the cost of medical test in India is expensive. so this sparked the complains

As far as I'm concerned...that excuse from CIC is lame and stupid..a complete contradictions of the info they put on their site and even on the medical form....the tests are not free for crying out loud!!...why deceiving people to pay for a test before assessing their application? Some people might say well...Medical is valid for 12 months blah blah...what gives them the impression I will reapply?...because if not...then fees paid for the medical is gone and wasted.

It's so unfair!!!

I will rather have Buhari look into why Nigerians (The most populated Black nation in the world )will have to have their visa to Canada being decided by Ghana and being processed there. . . I see that as an insult to Nigerians.

Brother Insults to Nigeria plenty, like @ kennypenny said that the "medical before denial" issue sparked a diplomatic uproar in India, do you think if that were to continue in Naija that anyone would blink an eye?

Or why the citizens of the so called "Giant of Africa" are running helter skelter looking for "greener pastures" in all sorts of countries that don't even have half the resources we have. But then, there's hope for a better Nigeria

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by thesoj: 2:06pm On Aug 11, 2015
@Fhemmmy I agree to some extent. I think such trips are more fun in one's own car and when spread out over a couple days or more. I have done similar trips (within the US) but I got tired of long drives... I actually actively avoid them now.

For a first time visitor to North America maybe a bus trip could be fun. But I think it would be tough to do such a 24-hour+ road trip right after a 24-hour journey to Canada from Naija. @SantohFilz

We hope we will have good management of our resources and that will make things better, but no matter how good our nation is, Nigerians will always be all over the world . . . .Someone said, if you go to any country and you cant find Nigerians there, RUN!

Yes, more fun in your own personal car, you can stop anytime and take pix and eat and do all you want (I prefer a rental car sha, so i dont put too much mileage on my own vehicle) . . . . First time to Canada might be tough true oh cos na anxiety of getting to PEI go kill the guy, you are damn right sir.

You can't sincerely blame anyone who wants to acquire good education and probably gainfully contribute to the development of any geographical location they find themselves.
All my friends and classmates are through with their post graduate studies 3 or 4 ago, i simply refused to leave Nigeria until 2012 after my older brother left for his post graduate.
During my undergraduate days i embraced Info- tech quite early, so i couldn't understand why i was learning a course like FORTRAN 77 programming language as at 2004 nor could i understand why the hell i was using a manual drawing board for engine drawing.

So if I understand corrrectly CIC did not review the applications before sending out medical requests due to time and so CIC went on a medical request bonanza which cost money to do and which also conveniently omitted a lot of college applicants. Sorry but this story just doesn't add up. CIC is just saying what they think we should hear not exactly whats going on.

Hmm..what a full house we have here and also a good platform to table my inquiries about the country I have always dreamed of visiting or ensuring my wife continue her education in one of their schools and possibly relocate my family to stay there and continue with their education.

Precisely,my wife is a Mid-wife by profession and by God's grace I plan that she further her education by studying Nursing as a core discipline for her B.Sc in Canada, hence my question is, what documents do I need to provide to guarantee her chances of obtaining a Visa for her considering that we are married with 3 children and I want her to travel alone for her studies(though she would always visit home once they are on vacation) then upon graduation the entire family would join her over there for the celebration.

I am working presently and she is also working with a private hospital.

Let's not deviate oh but don't misunderstand me. I'm blaming the government not the people that are trying to better their lives. If only resources could be properly managed. It's one of the things Buhari must focus on and he's doing a great job with that already. God bless Nigeria.

@stechi there are no guarantees for a Canada visa but you can significantly up your chances with the right strategy and documents.

For info on schools, see my previous posting and don't forget to click on @richcasey's links which contain lots of key points.

To best prepare a visa application strategy, I would strongly recommend you read a couple hundred pages of this thread. As a minimum, you should start reading from page one of Part 8. To become a Canada visa guru, you should additionally read one or more of Part 5, 6, and 7. Please do take the time to read read read! Best of luck.

@kuzee, you are welcome.

You can request for your case file, physical file or both.
You need someone in canada to request for you for 5cad or you will have to used online company that offer the servies for about 25 or 30 cad.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

thank you. did some googling earlier and found that it takes 30 days on average to receive said file. i do not have that kind of time.

Very low probability that you would get a Canada TRV given that you already have a masters degree and are now going for a lower degree. It would be obvious to the VO (visa officer) that your main objective is to use the graduate diploma admission only for immigration purposes. Your best bet is to just apply for a PhD or a research masters. Just make sure that you would be able to convince the VO about your motivation for whatever program you apply and gain admission to.

Applying for TRV with a graduate diploma (given that you already have a masters degree) will likely result in a "Purpose of Visit" denial.

thanks for your response.
1. i applied for a PhD programme and was rejected last year. so I thought to apply for a graduate diploma based on the. fact that my PhD application was rejected and i wouldlike to use the diploma to buttress Masters hoping to be competitive enough for PhD programme.

2. can't i do without presenting my masters credentials when i get the admission?
