mogentle:You see if everyone keeps quiet the way you suggest, these governors who see themselves as lords will continue to mess things up. May I ask you if teachers don't speak out against the rot and mismanagement of the system who will. To your question, I'm am academic and have at various times spoken against perceived and obvious wrongs. Ever heard of academic freedom? A governor was elected by the people to take care of their welfare and so should tolerate their criticisms, any governor who doesn't tolerate criticisms isn't worthy of being one. |

themaskedman:Criticism is normal but one has to be wise about it. Using an article written by opposition as state's school exam question is pure foolishness. Again, I dont support their sack but it seems they asked for it. |

daverok:Imagine all these nonsense, are u in the same ogun, a southwestern state of nigeria. I jst hate the way some Nigerian abuse social media platforms. What is wrong is wrong. The article is outright nonsense, this isn't abt politics bt ogun state education is betr than before, I could analyse and break down the errors of the writer...bt what for? They are facing the music already. A good article should present facts, issues, look at different sides of issues, make recommendations, and proffer solution, bt no, to the writer nothing is gd abt ogun state in term of education, all the reforms we see around are nothing abi? The model schools idea, unified examination, the schools renovation, and ogun recently paid the outstanding weac fees, still pple can't see anything, and some pple come here to talk abt salary...mind u they've jst paid them for july , whereas some states are still owing 5 to 6months!? Please seek for betr understanding before u talk abt things u don't knw. My Point! |
