I think I just did the same.
Is it the wes IGPA thing that u used.

It was stressful putting. Up all my grades and when I finished it asked for my info for my results to be forwarded to it.
Tillnow I haven't recieved the evaluation

If not.
How did u do ur own evaluation
TheBae:
@hayqinsbFX, @lakusi
I have just done the online evaluation and it is the exact same CGPA on a 4point scale as I got on my actual WES evaluation so it is 100% verified!
If you're interested in seeing the results to compare by yourself, you can PM me so I'll email it to you

Yes I had that sane issue. I guess it was cos i wasted time before inputting thr grades. I had redo it and be fast about it.
By the way make sure you choose to input "scores" asin "60", and not grades asin "B". You'll see the score once you click "Calculate CGPA" and you'll also get it in the mail

https://www.wes.org/calculator/igpa.asp
When you input degree name, institution name and country, choose "numeric scale" (1-100) as appropriate grading scale and not "letter scale" (A-F).
So while inputting your courses, you'll use the score of each course not the grade.

You're welcome.
Yes I understand you because the course by course evaluation costs quite a lot. It definitely makes your result and cgpa look more attractive. Lol. You didn't even know you had a Canadian first class. Congrats!

@ TheBae.......d 0-100 grade nd d A-F grade gives the same thing

Mine doesn't I guess because grades differ from school to school.
That's why there's an option for numeric grades.

Hello Berexio1,

I got admitted for fall 2015 since June but I envisaged there would be high volume of applications and didn't wana rush so I just decided to pick Winter 2016 since I have multiple start dates (Sept 2015, Jan 2016 n May 2016).

I'm not sure about that.
It's probably the usual Distinction, Merit, Pass..
Maybe @Fhemmmy or @thesoj can answer that question

the problem is that nigerian transcripts show grades A,B,C etc instead of scores. 70, 60, etc. are you saying that when filling the wes IGPA we should fill in the equivalent from the head?
A=75
B = 70
C = 60
D = 50
E= 40
F= 39
is that what you are saying?
i am pretty sure i am wrong sha.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Inkblood: 9:27pm On Aug 14, 2015
for people who have submitted transcripts to the embassy, pls, how did you submit it? transcripts are not given to students by hand anymore, but i was able to get mine. the cover letter is addressed to SIAST institute. didn't think i could take it to embassy like that so i have detached the cover letter. is that the right thing to do pls?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 9:39pm On Aug 14, 2015
Some uni transcripts come with your exact scores though. Mine shows the scores for each course I took.
The thing is, in some schools in Nigeria, 70 is A, 60 is B etc. So I'm not sure how that's going to play out if you don't use exact figures. Your school's grading system will either work in your favour or otherwise

It appears that the Canadian grading scale is not always consistent across universities. For instance, UManitoba and UWinnipeg both use a 4.5 scale while UToronto and UCalgary use a 4.0 scale. I have never schooled in Canada, but I know that in the US most schools use a 4.0 scale. It also seems they (Canadian schools, e.g. UBC) use percentages a lot, even to represent the final grade on the transcript... I'm not an expert in this area sha.

thesoj:
Yes. You can get a TRV with a US sponsor. My sister's app just got approved and she is in this scenario. The thing is I think her first application was denied because her US sponsor did not notarize his sponsorship documents plus we didn't submit the sponsor's original SOA; we had used photocopies.

In the second application, all the financial documents from the sponsor were original, and his letter of sponsorship and affidavit were notarized this time. Finally, the sponsor transferred one year's worth of tuition and living expenses to her student account at the uni she will be attending. We attached both the sponsor's transfer receipt as well as the university payment receipt. To the VO, this move demonstrates the sponsor's commitment to funding her education.

It is also possible her her first app was denied only because the sponsor's funds were all in the US. Maybe she got approved this time because the sponsor transferred one year's worth of expenses to her university student account in Canada. This would support the hypothesis that the VOs need to see that the money is in Naija or Canada.

Thank you bro. So I will believe funds must either be in naija or Canada, until I get someone to prove it totally wrong! Guess I will just use my Naija sponsors......won't risk the US thing jare

So my wes IGPA gave me 2.89 over 5years and 3.11 for just the last two years.
This sounds encouraging..

Transcripts are meant to show raw scores and grades of all courses offered.this is actually the first time am hearing a university inputing just the grades on transcripts.

The first I used a company that charged me 30cad because my brother is always forming busy.
But I am hoping he has the time to help me order it this time around.

If you are considering reapplication , then I suggest you get a masters admission.
That was our undoing and unfortunately what ever policy that brought about that took effect this Fall. It's really sad.

i cannot get masters as i have a 2.94/4.00 (i tried with 7 schools in the last 2yrs)
secondly, i find joy in construction supervision than architecture and i can't get a school that offers masters for CPM
third, pls help me with the procedure you used for the 30cad company.
i really want to see the VO's explanation on this matter
