God's word is God's word. Being overly sentimental like that isn't right. God isn't one to fake emotions to please his beings. He gets angry too. He punishes too. Inasmuch as his nature is forgiveness, he only forgives those who ask. People mistake that sura to be for cursing or something. But is it not self explanatory? Abu Lahab & his wife were evil-doers & the chapter was about them only. I rarely use d chapter but it's not cuz of its contents

There is nothing wrong in reading Mosssab in prayer although some people try to avoid reciting it.

When you read the meaning, ou will find that it is not a direct curse. Anyway, there is nothing wrong. In fact everytime you hear that they read the whole quran in prayer, it is inevitable that Masab will be read.

this surah is juts likeany other surah in the qur;an.

its just that may be because of the meaning u dont just like it,but note u have to like it.because God wants u to recite it as many time s as possible for u to have the reflection of the problems the prophet face b4 establishing islam.

I wonder , i have never heard anyone use it in prayer, even Imams undecided, and none of my friends both male and female admit to using it.

Of course people read it during prayer and during ramadhan the quran is completed in taraweeh or tahajjud people recite it.

There are stronger verses that are stern towards the perpetrators of evil in the quran.

the chapter's is just calling for Allah's wrath on the enemies of Islam. though i've never used the chapter in solat (and i'm a huge fan of short surahs) cos the contents seem a little harsh, i feel we should recite it especially when offering Nofla prayers for countries who are being oppressed by the enemies of our Islam.

I guess there is no prayer to allah for those infidels;

- who are native to islamic countries or muslim dominated countries (Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, ,Egypt,Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar, Pakistan, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia etc),
- who are living in those islamic countries,
- who are unwilling to convert to islam and who are thus discriminated against by islam and their muslim country men
- who are sometimes killed or discriminated against for no obvious reason except that they are not muslims, e.g. Original native egyptians, non-muslim iranians, non-muslim lebanese, native non-muslim saudi arabians, native non-muslims pakistanis etc,
