The outcome of the AC is no more under my control. I cannot influence any decision now. My chance to influence any decision was during the AC. I thank GOD for the way it went. But I have a GOD WHO has everything under HIS control. HE has said that I will be employed by NLNG when the results are out (Matthew 7 vs 7 and cool. I will continue to thank HIM until the result manifests physically. Thank YOU LORD.

On Fact Finding, I think they tested some of the following

Analysing
Learning and reserching
Coping with pressures and setbacks
Deciding and initiating action
Persuding and influencing
Presenting and communicating info

This one isn't you "thinking" my dear. From that link u provided it is what the exercise was designed to assess. I remember early in the process when I said that we will be doing 4 exercise each designed to assess 4-5 competencies. Someone said that me saying that was clear indication that I had not spoken with anyone who had done the AC.

Was Northville the one on the new construction site, or the one with a twin building with no creche close by?

I ran away from that twin building cos the second building wasn't available for another 6 months and the company needed to complete their relocation in 4 months

The longer the wait, the stronger the faith, the stronger the fear.

Interesting times!

The preparation for Analysis presentation was something else... angry angry angry
I could have sworn that someone tampered with the clock. There i was, leisurely reading the novel material;as if on cue, i turned my head to glance at the clock and the next thing i saw was that i had 15mins left.To say i was mortified is an understatement. And to think that i still had 2 pages to read shocked shocked shocked
The horror written on my face was epic;i wish i had a camera to capture it.I just stared at the clock in total disbelief.
Till this day i still believe that someone ''remotely'' controlled that clock...abi no be 60mins make 1hr again??

It was a test of speed, analysis, presentation and communication skill, organization, planning and attention to details. It was my best part of the AC, i reached 100% of my celebral capacity trying to beat time and the questions that followed after the presentation were also insightful. The worst part of my AC was the interview/gisting session and the most interesting was definately the fact finding exercise (the unexpected).

Does anyone know how the jottings and evidence of preparation will be assessed? And which exercise will have the highest weight in the total assessment score sheet.

Happy sunday all!!!

MEHNNN...u needed to see my face when one of the assessors asked ''how do you feel about mr James (abi na mr Jill) leadership style"??God know say i no read reach dat side i just use english cover every every.I don't think any of the exercises would be scored higher than others. If the AC was to be graded over 100,each exercise would be 25marks.
any time i recall my CBI i cringe. For the first time in my life i could'nt confidently pinpoint (with any degree of accuracy) my performance in a given test/exam...pls don't remind me of that CBI,i don't even want to remember what i said there.

Up till the very last day, no one knew before-hand that fact-finding was going to be a part of the assessment... We all met the surprises of our lives there.
And again, the interview style was also unexpected too.. - I was there, telling lots of stories about my life to two scribes who were busy writing them down like they would publish it. They couldn't even take their faces off the sheets in front of them and look at me for up to five minutes.. They were so busy writing down my stories..
...
The presentation.. woww.. time choked me. I had to present with blank flip-charts, and assumed I wrote things on them.. I was actually flipping over the blank charts whenever I finished speaking on a supposed topic. Though I explained to them that time choked me, but nevertheless, that I knew what I had in mind to write on those blank pages before time choked me.
They were just there looking at me with mean faces as I yarbbed..
If they found my empty charts funny, I couldn't say. Their faces were so mean.

The clock was beside me but I didn't notice it until I asked the assessor how many minutes I had left, and he pointed behind me. I had just about 25 minutes. I wasn't even done reading at this point but I had been jotting on the blank sheet given to us, so I didn't have much problem writing on the flip chart.

They hardly looked up at all during the presentation, until I mentioned a certain technology as an option to embed in the mobile app to keep up with the competition . That's when I saw them looking at me and I'd been looking into space and presenting the entire time. Lol

Ha. I don't know about that oh. Maybe you answered all their potential questions in your presentation.

Weomet, while trying to preserve the integrity of the exercise I will not say the questions I was asked but I do know that they follow a template so it's not like they are asking the questions spontaneously.

I like watching HELL IN A CELL until after the AC. now I understand what those wristlers pass through.
I had the shortest 15 minutes of my life.
1 hour during presentation prep is like 10minutes on a normal day.
I almost ran out of stories during the CBI.
Group exercise was more or less a debate club.
to crown it all, Presidential Hotel Clock was just the opposite of what clock should be.

Nice to know I'm not the only one. see you guys in Bonny

There was 10 to 15 mins as part of the
process for them to ask questions . I was asked many questions although was told that they were not meant to ask all the questions during our conversation. They were very nice.Anyway, I don't know why they didn't ask you any question.
Goodluck to all.

You mean Tim McManis? The leader of Athena team who has spent just 3 months on the job, the only team leader who beats his KPI with the lowest number of staff?... I think its also suspected that his team members were probably jealous that Tim was promoted ahead of them. It was also said that he was left to his own ways with little or no support.
I don't think he is a poor leader as the conditions he found himself, he just had to deliver which he did. If he had more support and empowerment in terms of training, more years of experience and more staff, he probably would be one of the best team leaders in the CS dept.

That part was kinda tricky but with deep analysis.....I think one will be able to make good recommendations.

The wait is on.
Good morning people.

Nice One, though I have a different view to his leadership style. He was so target driven at the expense of his team members. I think it was a case of Quantity (no of calls taken) at the expense of Quality (service rendered to customers), which had a negative impact.

wel, datz my humble submission. #PEACE
