Nairaland Moderators, this is a wake up call for you guys! Verify, Verify and Verify again before posting topics to frontpage! Don't turn Nairaland into a medium for every junk news like Nigerian blogs. As for the useless Nigerian bloggers who have no business blogging in the first place your lives will continue to be as useless as the junks and negative rumours you spread about people all in the name of traffic.

Nairaland need to be careful, with the type of news they spread, because one day a lawsuit will visit them.

She was actually a very beautiful girl, it is sad the way that she lost her life. I chose to remember her with a smile on her face at her graduation instead of lying in a pool of her own blood and wondering why animals in human form are taking pictures and not helping her.

Regarding the bloggers, it's because they have a market. If no one goes to their websites they will pack up. So we're all hypocritical consumers, every one of us.

Someone said they could sue. Please get real. Instead of going on whimsical dreams organize community involvement to encourage you leadership to setup an ambulance system. Private enterprises and not government. The government just need to stimulate that industry by giving subsidies like no taxes for ambulances and hospitals, etc

I expect the management of this site (Seun et al) to dissociate itself from this false story, remove the thread or create a link to the thread dissociating itself entirely and apologising to the family of the deceased for the trauma and agony such sad rumour/lies would have caused in their moment of trials.

Note: These false stories spread like wildfire than corrected versions. This site is far bigger than it was 10 years ago, and its gone beyond just news, entertainment or politics, it is a way of life for some.. More than ever before, more controls and integrity checks are needed on posts making front page.
