I don't know what Glo is turning into this days. I subscribed their 2.5g for #2000 and the data did not last even one week.

Does that mean that in about 2 years time, we will use 4gb Data to do the same thing 2gb can do today?

Yes, this is so so true. I was discussing with a friend the other day. When I bought my Galaxy tab in 2012. I use to buy a 350mb monthly data and it was enough to browse the Internet for a month. I am a heavy browser. I read the news on almost all available platforms. Nairaland, Blogs and Online newspapers and 350mb was enough(I hardly download anything).

Fast forward to 2015, I do exactly the same things I do online as before, but 2gb is never enough for me in a month.
Exactly, way back 2011, I can use 200mb for 3weeks, now i can't manage 2gb for 2weeks. We are just being robbed left and right

SWIFT HAS ALSO STARTED. I HAVE SPENT 4X THE AMOUNT I USUALLY DO PER MONTH. ITS VERY UNFORTUNATE. THEY SHOULD INCREASE THEIR TARIFFS INSTEAD OF THIS UNPROFESSIONAL DECEIT

In my experience glo is better than etisalt in UNILAG.
Infact in Science etisalat is almost nonexistent

i subscribed 2k for 2gb after exhausting my data, my data counter showed 1.97gb.
Maybe u use ur data only 4 NL

If 5% of Nairaland users would call NCC (for free) the Telecom companies will reduce data cost but we all appear to afford it or act like Nigerians n not complain ("suffer in silence ").

Sounds like an interesting idea.
Would even be easier to just email them.

But we need to have a valid complaint. Minus the fact "data no dey do person again" do we have any proof of this data shaving. Or is there any way we can gather evidence?
Or do we just say we are concerned and would like them to investigate?

I've used airtel bbm dataplan 2GB for N1500 on android fones & wat u claim has never happened 2me or anione else I kno on airtel[font=Lucida Sans Unicode][/font]

WAT I KNOW IS DAT ONCE U USE UP 50% OF ANY PLAN D SPEED WILL JUST DROP LIKE 20-40%

Smart phone, modem or whatever, its the same system of exploitation and all the telcos are neck deep involved. The excuse they give does not hold water. How many nigerians make calls on the go with skype and whatsapp on the go?Its all lies, lies, lies. These companies are responsible for pricing the cafes out of business, they did so and now they settle down to exploit nigerians. Case scenario, anytime i fire up my etisalat modem, GUI interface starts to count without me running a program. Its all fraud and they know it, NCC knows this and will do nothing cause they get their own share of the fraud. We are left @ the mercy of these capitalists who are bent on milking us dry. NCC should stop issuing spectrum licenses to the GSM companies, as their actions is a stumbling block to full broadband coverage nation wide @ an affordable rate.
