I went to hospital last month being on 16th of July for minor issue so when i reached there they first checked my Bp and weight and after the finished i asked the nurse what is my Bp and she said 128 i asked her if it's good she said yes that from 140 is not good and this is my first time of checking my Bp so i have an appointment with the doctor to come back on 10th of August being Monday the hospital when you come first the we check your BP and Weight before you can see a doctor so when the nurse finished i asked her what is my BP she said 138 i was surprised what could have make my BP to raise like that. so there is one Pharmacy around my house so i went there on Thursday because they have what they use to check BP and they are doing it for free so i told the nurse i want to check my BP she said okay i should sit and she checked my BP it's 141 i was surprised so the next Morning I went there and checked it again it's showing 154 before she retry it again it show 142 the nurse told me not to worry i just need to rest it we come down please i want to know what could be the cause of my BP to be high. Am just 30 years old what can i do now for my BP to come down

Check ur diet,,, maybe u consume alot of sodium. Then try to live a happy lifestyle

The time you check your blood pressure matters.If you've been running about town or stressed before you take your Bp,it might be high.Before you take your Bp,sit and relax for a few minutes,then take it.
Don't be worried about your Bp except you check it repeatedly and it is still high.

food high in salt especially our canned foods like sardine, noodles. then again,, the evironment is also a factor contributing to hbp,, and gene. So keep a close contact with ur doctor

Start to cut down on the table salt in your food as islandprincess said.Also start avoiding fried foods and highly processed foods.

I think anxiety may be responsible. You were probably anxious to know the result of your BP. Also BP does not discriminate. It can happen to children as well. Meanwhile you have to first relax then go for recheck. If it is confirmed then you have no problem

Same story here. Buh mine is as a result of inadequate sleep lol.
Buh I'm trying to force myself to have at least 4 hours of sleep.
I made myself not to sleep in the nights. Now i have insomnia

Your diet is the key to lowering your BP.

Most food we leads to all these problems.

My best advice is to get a good supplement to help crash the BP from time to time by supplementing whatever that is missing in your diet.

Generally, green tea does that very well but I can only vouch for the that has gotten result.

Try to Eats fresh Garlic and Ginger.. Reduce salt intakes, No Alcohol as well.

If you are not undergoing too much stress and you are sleeping well. The only thing left that can cause your high Bp is when there is too much High cholesterol in your body system.
