I think we're all misunderstanding the prophet here.....

I think if the change of a name came as a command from God after becoming Born Again - it becomes disobedience if not heeded, and disobedience is a punishable offence.

Aside that; Change of name(s) is not a criteria to make heaven or hell....

Take for instance Abraham case: if he hadn't heeded or agreed to change his name I don't think God would have been able to work with him the way that he did

And, with the trend in the bible - God really has a thing with names, right from Adam to Jesus. He specifically gave names to some people or changed someone's name, even Jesus tempered with the names of his disciples

My point exactly?! If a revelation comes for you to change your name; make well to obey, if it's coming from someone 'higher or lower' to you - pray about it. But if not! We shouldn't go about changing names simply because it's not found in the bible, that's not our calling as Christian.

On the other hand, you & ProphetUdeme dat are now very Holy and have the right to decide on who will enter Heaven or Hell, make una kontinu. You people are the perfect example of the modern day Pharisees and you know what JESUS said of them in the Bible? I am not perfect and i claim my perfection through our Lord Jesus CHRIST.

Stop displaying lack of knowledge , alot of christians bear names that is affliated with their native gods . E.g in yoruba land , 96% in yoruba land bear names like IFAyemi sunday , OgUNgbemi akeem , OSOrounke e.t.c lol , i guess they will be cast into a fictional hell for bearing names with the native gods Ifa and OGUN ?

Udeme did not say satan is an employee of GOD. GOD did not employ anyone to drag people to hell. He that accept the Son of GOD belongs to GOD -John 17:24 whilst them that reject Him and walk not according to His will belong to the devil-John 8:44.

Anyone whose name is not found written in the Book of Life will be cast into hell fire, prepared for the devil and his angels -Matt 25:41

The eye of the LORD is too Holy to behold iniquity as much as heaven is too pure to accommodate sinners, therefore, the devil will come to claim his prize-the soul of sinners.

However the Spirit of God led her pastor to go and urge her to change her name since linda means a serpent, well she heeded and was about to change her name from linda to Glory but the devil sent her friend who also claimed to be a born again, her friend came and deceived her that God is not interested in our names but in our hearts and her friend quoted a verse in the book of samuel which says that the Lord does not see as man sees, man looks on the outside but the Lord looks at our heart. Oh well she believed her friend and disobeyed what God commanded her thru her pastor. Years later she was struck by stroke and later died and found herself in the gates of heaven with a white garment. Wow wow wow finally i made it Alleluia, linda was so happy. She approached the gates of heaven and asked for the angels of God to open the gate for her but they refused and insisted they check her name on the Book of the Life. They checked her name but it was not to be found. And the angel told her that the name linda which means a serpent which is the devil can never enter the the book of life of The Lamb because serpent is an unclean thing in enmity with Christ and thus linda sorry your name was not found cos you bear an unclean name which disqualifies you for heaven. And besides in her white garment there was only one black spot. Which is disobedience. She disobeyed her pastor and thus was denied heaven, the devil came and snatched her and dragged her to hell and she was tormented by scorpions and serpents.

For many are called to salvation but few are chosen.

The name you bear is so important. Either it glorifies God or it glorifies satan. Make sure your name is Holy and is liable to be written in the holy book of life. Or if you think youre still using the worldly names pls change it. I pity our young girls and guys who resort to use worldly names and nicknames such as misscutiepinkylashes, miss Sexypie, miss divaliciouskiss, lindasexy, lizzysexy, ritakissy and all other fornicatious names that you can ever imagine. And the guys "sexypacksguy, desmondswaggz, and some still use their vernacular names like ekpo, ekpe, okon and all evil names you can ever think of. Pls change it and repent and live holy and be thus eligible to have your name written in the Lamb's book of life. Grace

Tell us , where in the bible is it written that 1) "satan drag people to hell" ?

2) people who die , go to the gate of heaven before been dragged to hell ?

3) why would Jesus told his apostles to be like serpent if that animal is indeed bad ?

4) who deceive eve ? serpent OR SATAN

5) why would God heal the children of isreal with a craved image of SERPENT if its indeed bad ?

Linda means beautiful in the Spanish language. Of course, everybody has repeated that over and over again. Another variant of the meaning of Linda is the old German language in which it means serpent. Why did people turn a blind eye to this meaning? Just to accuse the op of hypocrisy?

Although, I disagree with ProphetUdeme's story of Linda, I strongly agree with his point about keeping names befitting one as a follower of Christ. Some kinds of names do have spiritual impact on their bearers, positive or negative. In addition, if you claim to be in Christ and you are dead to the world and the things of the world, then let it reflect in everything about you including the name by which you are known. Or do you think that when God gives us new names in heaven there will be anything like sexy rita, kissable lips, sexy jenny, etc etc?

Certainly, names may have spiritual impact on their bearers but they don't have any significance in qualifying or disqualifying one for eternity in heaven. This doctrine is not scriptural. Not even in the least.

What is more important in life is to fear God and keep His commandments. This is the whole duty of man.
