1940 - When most of SE was at food gatherer primitive mode of existence.

In the 40's and 50's many southerners including Ibos where undergoing scholarships in Europe and America. These set of young students will later come back and work in the pre independence colonial civil service.

See people forming frosh and abusing the Emir forgetting it was in the 1940s, when even now in 2015 a lot of people traveling out of their villages for the first time see Lagos and Abuja as a Mecca of sorts.

That's what our leaders should do, go there and study innovations, come back and start same, develop your country and not someone going round the market to buy pomo and roasted corn and you start calling it grassroots governance.

Yet the visit didn't create in him, a burning desire to replicate such infrastructures in the Northern Nigeria.

He was not in any bit inspired, he never sought to know how the Caucasians were able to uplift the living standards of their people up to that level, he learnt no lesson to take home from the trip.

He was no different from past and present Nigerian rulers who visit western countries but have no desire whatsoever to replicate what they see in the west here. Rather in a typical baboon mentality, they seek for ways to loot our resources and then take them alongside themselves and loved ones to western countries.

By 1940 the British had ruled Nigeria for 43 years uninterrupted, and exported our resources worth countless billions of dollars in today's money. So how come traffic lights were such a rarity in Nigeria as to cause such fascination to the emir? I thought they said white people rule better than blacks? Why in fact were we an underdeveloped nation at all by 1960 after 63 years of uninterrupted white rule? What did the whites do with all the money they made from our resources in those 63 years?

No wonder Buhari is very dull and goatish. From the look of things, this uncivilished and dunce of Buhari is a very serious sickness from day one. If from 1944, they have paid visits to the UK and still remain dull, it means it should be an issue of heritance. No matter the visits to advanced countries, including the schools, the typical northners attend, he will never attain any height in civilisation other than getting deep into the Islamic affairs to kill and destroy lives and properties. Dunce people.

Well in 1944 even the Chinese would have been staring at the traffic light in bewilderment but look at where they are today ....

China invented the train and discovered gunpowder and fireworks when Europeans where still battling with swords.

In world war 2 Chinnese factories churned out aircrafts, tanks and all the guns they used to fight the Japanese.

Your northern goats are no where on par with China at any stage of their history.
