Why are Nigerians so gullibe, I do not understand. The official rate of the Naira to the USD is pegged @ 197. The spread b/w 197 and 217 or 220 is just too wide.
The Naira is only seen to be appreciating b/w the official rate , the BDC rate and the parallel market rate. Before you celebrate, ask yourself " did the official rate of 197 Naira to 1 USD change or move 1 or 2 basis point"?
(i.e , 196 or 195 to the USD) If the answer is no. There is no need to jubilate.
