The trend of jungle justice seems to be on the increase in Nigeria today. Angry residents under the guise of frustration tend to take the laws into their hands and get away with the crimes. A fresh case in hand occurred this morning, Wednesday the 19th of August at the Apapa area of Lagos state involving a suspected car thief who was set on fire by an angry mob. Most of these criminals when arrested are freed and seen in the street continuing their crime. Such a situation is bad for the country although I don't support jungle justice. |
