Caucasian are costly to maintain but they are wonderful dog breeds which people still love to buy .my 6 month Caucasian is a wonderful dog but am thinking of selling her because the cost of feeding is damm much...i spend about 15k Monthly on feeding and Tabs. but they are still Good dogs..

there are cheaper alternatives

Caucasian are sweet dogs just that nowadays the temperament of the dog is now nothing to write home about

If I may, nothing is happening to the breed. People just want either "big dogs" and or cheap dogs. Very few people actually go for breeds they know too well. Anyways, I have a 7/8 months old big boned one and recently, he is scared of people and cars. I will appreciate it if someone proffers a solution to help me teach my dog to be brave and not dock behind me when in public.

socialize him, I don't think u did that when he was a puppy. I've got a gsd that was scared of rattling zinc when a chased lizard finds refuge,waterproof bags and shaky objects,but now those days are history. I can remember when she was a puppy,she was very stubborn always nibbling on objects that has height. she got unlucky one day when she tugged on a carton that has a stove and a basket ontop,the tug caused the whole load to fell on her, she let out a cry that got the whole neighborhood awake,i wokeup only to find her running round the compound crying,well i guess she didn't expect such thing to happen. the phobia continued when she got at same age as yours which got me bothered. I decided to let her face her fears, whatever thing she got scared of, I always bring it closer for her to know such thing won't hurt her. gradually she finally got adjusted to do does things, you can get noisy things,rattling objects to her,she won't budge but you do so at your on peril. a skittish dog is a turnoff bro.

that's a small cake na it happen to my goddess(my dog gabriella)she was once scared I mean real scared of cars,keke,shovel it took a month since it the same with mine let me tell you how I helped mine maybe you can use it for yours it you stay in a busy area or cars do pass infront of you house and you are less busy in the evening take her outside just stand or sit infront of your gate let him watch the cars and people as they move mini 30min max 1h 30min then take him for a walk were he can see more cars and people repeat it everyday until when you know he is ok with cars
