It is really sad indeed. I grew up in a country where we kicked against federal character and championed the course of appointments being made on merit and competence irrespective of tribe or ethnic region. Today's youth are the opposite. They are more concerned about what ethnic tribe gets what. Such a shame. They never seem to learn. Ask them what their local government chairmen, Senators, house of reps members and Governors who are their kinsmen have done to better their lives in the last 16 years. Nothing much you'll discover. Yet, they still believe it is having their kinsman holding some federal position that will better their lot. What did the previous ones do for you, be it Northerner or Southerner? Nothing much really, other than loot you blind. Yet these youths will not learn. And these are the ones who will want to take over after all these old politicians are dead and gone?
