Whatsapp had just released another update for their popular whatsapp messenger during the course of the week across all platforms and the facebook owned company is in a direct competition with Blackberry BBM application for the top Instant Messaging Application.

BBM time has come and gone, I think what really make BBM what it is is the BB itself, and since BB is going gradually down the drain its preposterous application is sinking with it. don't forget that the same way BBM was made is the same thing with wechat, talk and so on. who knows, whatapp time might soon be over more sooner than we thought, courtesy of app like telegraph, mehn, that app is something.
But for now, let whatsapp keep on reigning, thanks for its easy to use and easy access and other feature as availability to all phones even the java and symbian.

It's mainly because you can run WhatsApp on almost any device even devices that don't support it (copy on SD card). Unlike BBM where you must own an Android, BlackBerry or Windows device before using it. And I think another reason is that WhatsApp consumes less data compared to BBM.

Whatsapp will die a natural death too as more innovations are coming on daily bases. Sorry to say but Telegram is a good app why because of the following
1. Messages are clouded that you can have access to them from any device
2. You can add someone without sharing phone number
3. So secure that you can password your messages
4.Ability to send large application, pdf, document of about 1gig
