CaptainJune:Obviously you do not read your bible yet you come here to shout and shout about the bible and Christianity. What does the bible say in 1Peter 5:8? Peter was telling his readers to be vigilant that their enemy the devil is prowling about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour. According to your bible, the devil is still prowling the earth. He is not in hell yet Now, if hell fire truly exists and was originally prepared for the devil, how is it that these ur visionaries are already seeing people in hell when the original inheritor of hell fire isn't in hell fire yet. |

@ captainjune and appleyard If romans 6:23 is only about spiritual death , why did Adam now died after spending 930 years ? From where did humans inherit physical death since the wages of sin is only spiritual death ? |

nobilis:By unconditional love of God vis the Mercy of God enduring forever (as highlighted by the scriptures you posted), you must understand that there is a sense in which God loves everyone in the whole world (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2; Romans 5: . This love in not conditional—it is based only on the fact that God is a God of love (1 John 4:8, 16). God’s love for all of mankind results in the factthat God shows His mercy by not immediately punishing people for their sins (Romans 3:23; 6:23). God’s love for the world is manifested in the fact that He gives people the opportunity to repent (2 Peter 3:9). By unconditional love of God, we mean that God's salvation came to all without recourse to race, tribe, or colour. However, God’s love for the world does not mean He will ignore sin. God is also a God of justice (2 Thessalonians 1:6). Sin cannot go unpunished forever (Romans 3:25-26). The most loving act of eternity is described in Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Anyone who ignores God’s love, who rejects Christ as Savior, who denies the Savior who bought him (2 Peter 2:1) will be subject to God’s wrath for eternity (Romans 1:18), not His love (Romans 6:23). God loves everyone unconditionally in that He shows mercy to everyone by not destroying them immediately because of sin. At the same time, God only has “covenant love” for those who place their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation (John 3:36). Only those who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will experience God’s love for eternity. Does God love everyone? Yes! But the fact remains that God has a unique relationship with people that fear His name (Christians) in that only Christians have His eternal grace and mercy and the promise of His forever love in heaven. The unconditional love God has for everyone should bring us to faith in Him, receiving in thankfulness the great conditional love He grants all those who receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Thus, when the Psalmist talked about God ' s mercy enduring forever, he never meant to say you can continue in sin or live your life anyhow. It is far from it. Rather, what it entails is that God’s love and grace on behalf of His chosen people, is demonstrated by His sovereign choice and convenant. Take Israel for instance, the history of His dealings with them, in spite of their repeated rebellion and idolatry, displays that His lovingkindness is truly everlasting. He always finds a way to bring them out of their sinful lives, out of their bondage, because of His sovereign choice and Abrahamic convenant. They did not deserve it but He kept coming to save them and redeem them all the time. That is why David shouted " His mercy endureth forever ". But despite this everlasting love and mercy, most of them also died as a result of their rebellion; because God is also a God of Justice. This history of physical Israel is a picture of our spiritual history, of how God chose us by grace alone, redeemed us from bondage to sin, and saved us to be“a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession” (1 Pet. 2:9). |

Jozzy4:Physical death came as a curse to all mankind after the fall of Adam. It is irreversible till the people of God all come together in paradise and the former things are no more. Christ did not come to earth to die to give us physical life (immortality). This death is one of the grave consequences of the Fall but it is not the wages of sin that separates people from God neither is it the wages of sin that leads one to hell. Everyone will taste physical death whether righteous or unrighteous (except where God says otherwise) which came as a result of Adam's disobedience but spiritual death is what distinguishes someone living in sin from spiritual life which indicates someone who has accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour. |

Scholar8200:Really? the saints that died before Jesus resurrected with him lol....Hmmmm so what were they doing on the earth? roaming round the street? or do they follow Jesus to heaven? Lol... Bro read your bible very well. No body have ever been to heaven before and after the death of Jesus till now, except Jesus. The story of the rich man and Lazarus was just an illustration. Nobody is in paradise now, Adam has been chased out of garden of eden. Abraham bosom is just a location where Abraham is inhabiting. A kind of resident allocated to him, but they are all still in the grave. No Mather the beautiful name you might called a potion of this earth, it still remain earth. |

"I'm lonely, Let me create angels to praise me and adore me" "One angel revolted against me? Shit. Well, I'll send him to a really awful burning place. Shouldn't I kill him, so all the evil dies with him? No, what's the fun in that?" "Still bored, let me create a different realm and put creatures there that can praise me some more! Meanwhile, that revolted angel has free passage into this realm and can try to take companions for himself too. Seems fair enough. These new creatures will live and die, then come and be judged by me. The ones that didn't believe I exist or didn't praise me well enough will burn forever. (Well, till I get bored again)" |

God sends no one to hell because he has provided a way out. Hell was made for Satan and his angels but its totally up to you to decide if you want to go there or not. |

Jozzy4:Nobody told you that the wages of sin is " only " spiritual death. What we tried to make you see is that; death does not literally mean the demise of the physical body ceasing to exist in the physical realm-earth. Rather, death is a process and the starting point of it is " dying spiritually " before any form of physical death takes place. The Bible has a great deal to say about death and, more importantly, what happens after death. Physical death and spiritual death are both a separation of one thing from another. Physical death is the separation of the soul from the body, and spiritual death is the separation of the soul from God. When understood in that way, the two concepts are very closely related, and both physical death and spiritual death are reflected in the very first references to death. In the creation account (Genesis 1–2), we read how God created a variety of living beings. These animals had life, an inward element that gave movement and energy to their physical bodies. Scientists are still at a loss to explain what truly causes life, but the Bible is clear that God gives life to all things (Genesis 1:11-28; 1 Timothy 6:13). The life that God gave to mankind was different from that which He gave to animals. In Genesis 2:7, we are told that God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Whereas animals have a purely physical life, humans have both a physical and a spiritual element of life, and the death we experience likewise has both a physical and a spiritual element. According to Genesis 2:17, God told Adam that if he ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he would “surely die.” Some skeptics have tried to use this verse to show an inconsistency in the Bible, because Adam and Eve did not die the very day they ate of that fruit. In the Hebrew, it literally says, “dying you will die.” It indicates a process that has a definite starting point, and continues into the future. When they sinned (Genesis 3:7), Adam and Eve immediately knew theirguilt. With that guilt came a shame which caused them to try to hide from God, because they had become spiritually dead, or separated from Him. In addition to the immediate spiritual death they experienced, they also began the process of physical death, even though it took many years for death to have its full effect. This can be better understood with the example of a flower. When you see a flower growing in a garden, you know it is alive, because it is connected to the stem and the roots, and is receiving nourishment from the ground. When you separate the flower from its life source, it still has the appearance of life, and can maintain that appearance for several days, depending on the conditions. Regardless of the care it is given, though, it is already dying, and that process cannot be reversed. The same is true for mankind. The physical death that entered into the world with Adam's sin (Romans 5:12) affected all living things. It is difficult for us to conceive of a world without death, but that is what Scripture teaches was the condition before the Fall. All living things began the process of dying when sin entered the world. When physical death occurs, there is a definite separation of the life force from the body. When that separation occurs, there is nothing man can do to reverse it (even the medical community acknowledges the difference between a “clinical death” and a “biological death”). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and death comes upon all men because all have sinned. Everyone is subject to physical death because of the presence of sin in this world, as well as their own personal sins. From a human perspective, physical death seems to be the ultimate punishment, but the Bible teaches there are deeper meanings of death to be considered. The life that God breathed into Adam (Genesis 2:7) was more than just animal life; it was the breath of God, resulting in a being with a soul. Adam was created spiritually alive, connected to God in a special way. He enjoyed a relationship with God, but when he sinned, that relationship was broken. Spiritual death has implications both before and after physical death. Though Adam was still physically alive (but beginning the dying process), he became spiritually dead, separated from relationship with God. In this present life on earth, the effect of spiritual death is the loss of God's favor as well as the knowledge of and desire for God. Scripture is clear that everyone begins life “dead in trespasses and sins” (Ephesians 2:1-5), resulting in a life focused on our sinful desires. Jesus taught that the remedy for spiritual death is a spiritual rebirth (John 3:3-5) through faith in Him. This rebirth is a re-connection to the source of life, which Jesus pictured in John 15:1-6. He is the vine, and we are the branches. Without being connected to Him, we have no life in us, but when we have Jesus, we have real life (1 John 5:11-12). For those who refuse to accept God's salvation, physical death and spiritual death culminate in the “second death” (Revelation 20:14). This eternal death is not annihilation, as some have taught, but is a conscious, eternal punishment for sins in the lake of fire, described as being separated from the presence of the Lord (2 Thessalonians 1:9). Jesus also spoke of this eternal separation from God in Matthew 25:41 and identified the conscious torment of individuals in the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19-31). God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), so they do not have to remain spiritually dead. To repent means to turn away from sin, and includes confessing sin to God with sorrow for violating His holiness. Those who have received God's salvation have turned from death to life (1 John 3:14), and the second death has no power over them (Revelation 20:6). Thus, when the bible talks about death as in Romans 6, it's actually more on that spiritual seperation. |

nobilis:And you didnt include your own interpretations of unconditional love-to appear to be - the freedom to live your life anyhow you deem fit, while negating what you are being taught abouit it to mean-the act of God's salvation and willingness for all manKIND to be save. You are truely an amazing learner. |
| Re: How Could A Loving God Send Me To Hell? by nobilis: 6:54am On Sep 06, 2015 |
Appleyard:My guy, go take a rest. So, initially, God didn't create sin. And according to ur bible, sin came into the world through one man, Adam, and destroyed the perfect nature of his creation. Now he was fast enough to destroy the world in a flood because of sin but has decided to allow sin to continue to be in the world. He hasn't even forgiven Adam's sin because he still ropes and yokes all the descendants of Adam into and with Original sin. So that whether you commit any actual sin by your own self, or not, you're already a condemned sinner. And the reason he couldn't destroy sin, even as he destroyed the world with flood is just so that he can wait to see if any of his creatures will sin and then when they sin, he will also destroy them like he destroyed those people that perished in the flood. He finds it very difficult to destroy sin but finds it very easy to kill his son because of sin. So he couldn't destroy sin but he could destroy the world because of sin. He couldn't destroy sin but he could kill his son because of sin. And the reason he couldn't or doesn't want to destroy sin is because he is looking for a bigger number of people to destroy in the future because of sin. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if God is as daft as you guys portray him to be. Unconditional love is a love without any conditions at all. And it is the perfect kind of love. I don't have to do anything to merit it. If I have to do anything to merit it, then it is not unconditional. It is now attached to a certain set of conditions. Just like a mother's love for her child. The child has to do nothing to earn his mother's love. And the child knows (this is the wonderful part), that no matter what he does and no matter how angry his mother gets with him for what he does, she will still eventually forgive him. You guys use human justice systems to "analogise" God's own justice system and yet fail to use human mercy in that analogy. Even you, as a human being, can you watch your enemy suffering uninterruptedly for long periods of years without respite? Even if the person wiped away your family? Even if the person destroyed your career. Yea. U will be angry and hurt but after a while (maybe a year, 2 years, 3years, 5 years, 10 years), ur anger will calm down and u will subconsciously forgive that person. So you see, Man cannot even be as cruel as that but u guys feel justified to attribute such cruelty to God. |

I sincerely feel this theory of hell makes man more righteous than God which is not possible. Those who propagate this fallacy should study the history of such absurd doctrine. How can a man believe that for not accepting christ as Lord and personal saviour,a man will burn for all eternity?...I see those who propagate this doctrine not worthy of the heaven they feel entitled to....Mtcheew! |

Hard to believe, I was born in sin, not level playing ground . I lived for less than a hundred years. Yet I will be burnt for a billion times a billion years for Sins I did in less than hundred years. Even humans who are created in his image cannot do that, talk less of a God full of love and justice . No wonder he said he has not thought of such a thing when he the isrealites allowed their children pass through fire. What is hell, What words(Hebrew or Greek )Signify hell and what is the meaning.? What part of man goes there, the body , soul or spirit, or the whole 3. ? Which part of man controls his consciousness? When did God create hell? Before Adams sin or after? |
