Nokia’s future in the smartphone market is somewhat uncertain after Microsoft acquired the company’s Windows Phone branch, but Nokia as a brand is still alive and kicking. Not long ago the company released its first Android-powered tablet dubbed the N1, and there have also been some rumors regarding Nokia’s alleged plans to rejoin the smartphone market on the Android side of things.

In the meantime, it has been settled that the company will indeed go back to manufacturing smartphones … but it’s a bit more complicated than than. Check out our Nokia Back To Smartphones: The Night Of The Living Dead? article for more details

While Nokia did release a handful of Android-powered devices already, the experience they deliver is not even close to what a pure Android device would offer. These low-end terminals – like the Nokia X and XL – run on heavily forked / modified versions of Android, and not in a sense of simple customization.

However, earlier this year there have been some leaks suggesting that Nokia might release a new higher-end smartphone with a more close-to-vanilla Android OS. A so-called “Nokia 1100” was spotted in the Geekbench database too, but while it was listed as an Android 5.0 device, the specifications were not that impressive. On the other hand, there have also been rumors of a so-called “Nokia C1” higher-end smartphone, and more to the point at hand, today we came across a series of renders that might depict the phone’s final design.

Check out below image.

For starters, this phone is not yet unveiled as you claimed. Nothing about the phone is clear yet. Gsmarena says the device will be launched next year so you're basically telling us about someone's concept and prototype of the so much rumoured[not yet unveiled] Nokia C1.
Re: Nokia C1: First Pure Android From The Nokia Unveiled by Nobody: 2:28pm On Sep 07, 2015
Wrong there's already being an Android Nokia phone before Nokia X, so the title is wrong.

Re: Nokia C1: First Pure Android From The Nokia Unveiled by petkoffDrake(m): 2:35pm On Sep 07, 2015

If it's not a SAMSUNG it's not a smartphone.

Sent with pride from my Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
Samsung are copy cats with no invention. They copy Nokia and when Nokia are no more they switched to iPhone.

Still thinking samsung is the almighty. Check out the amount of royalties they paypay to Nokia and apple for every single unit of their phones and you will cry cry cry

Android really made antelopes (samsung, Sony, lg, tecno & co) fly.

****modified**** oh,and I use a samsung; galaxy S4 and Note 3. The Software (OS) is owned by Google, processor chips owned by qualcom. Ecosystem owned by thousands of third party developers. Camera is shared between Sony and samsung. GSM technology and global network porting is owned by Nokia, Ericsson and Psion but over 90% is own by Nokia and Ericsson.

Samsung is good business department not a splendid GSM innovator.

Okay i see what you mean, left to me i hate android might get a tablet but not a phone , android has become the new Windows (Desktop) viruses, bloatwares, adware and all and also too much background processes, Windows Phone suits me
Re: Nokia C1: First Pure Android From The Nokia Unveiled by Nobody: 3:01pm On Sep 07, 2015
Nokia's biggest mistake was not adopting android OS early enough, they instead went for windows which IMOW is a flop. They were once the biggest phone maker and could have been sitting where samsung is sitting today. Well, its a welcomed developement to go android which is the most used phone OS in the world today.

Dude don't start what you can't finish. All top oems innovates and they all copy. Apple is a great copier too but they stylishly act like they innovate.

Apple is yet to innovate anything since the demise of Steve Jobs.

Only Samsung can produce a phone with 95% of its components being homegrown including software. Don't mess with samsung

I knew this will surely happen.
Microsoft kill NOKIA MOBILE, and renamed it LUMIA.
Now Microsoft is removing everything about NOKIA from LUMIA.

This is a Big lesson to Nokia.
If they had started with Android when Symbian was dying, Samsung and HTC wont come near Nokia market share.

I have always been a Nokia fan right until the advent of their windows phones so if they switch fully to the Android merry band then I will happily indulge them.
Until the price is known, I won't hesitate to believe that Android phone of 30k is equal to Nokia phone of 90k.

Windows API makes it hard for virus to easily access files like that, which is why it will be hard to really see a decent File manager on Windows so compared to Android, Android is much more prone to virus than windows. I see alot of people rooting their phones without knowing the implication even on Linux it dares not run with root priviledges all through. but the points about bloatware and Adware you are right about that, Compared to Android Windows Phone doesn't allow apps poll in the background anyhow unless you allow it in battery saver, but in Android you can only stop or disable it, but when you restart it comes back.

After seeing MonkeyTest virus on Android am not keen on getting an Android phone however maybe a Tablet, but this Nokia C1 make sense though.

Windows phone wld be affected too if it gains popularity. It's a computer and u can't run away from it. Hackers target stuffs with more users. Macintosh and ios were claimed to be virus free and unhackeable but alas it wasn't just hacked, it crashed some devices and leaked some infos .

To each it's own tho.

It's cool bro..

Smartphones are not for everyone. Port to Nokia or even Siemens or Alcatel if you so please.

Soon, people would have to write IQ tests to buy SAMSUNG phone.

It's SAMSUNG and then the others.
