Good evening people. Please who has completed a form A transaction recently? Like this month? I heard there's an even newer CBN policy where banks bidding for ForEx must transfer the naira equivalent a minimum of 48hrs before the actual bid can be made. Heard it's a very recent policy (last week). Transferring this money is getting more cumbersome than raising it undecided
If you were in Lagos, sterling at Daleko could have been your best option. The bank is as small as a Bureau de Change shop but the woman in charge of operations there knows her onions when it comes to to form A thing. Just submit the documents as described in one of my last posts, follow it up with constant calls and watch the transactions sail through like a Ferrari on an Autobahn. I can't say the same of other branches in other or even Lagos here.
Their charges approximately sum up to 10k and and as at yesterday euro was 222.5 on Google but they charged 226.27 I think. Fair enough if you ask me going by the high rates I have been hearing from other banks.
The bidding thing is true but I don't think it really affects the speed of the transactions as it sounds, at least for this bank.

Its not exactly the way you put it Dear. Some people went to same Sterling bank and meet a brick wall. They were asked to pay school fees or show proof of payment of fees before Sterling bank will do Form A for them. Instruction from their head office. Same bank, different experience for different people.
Anyone going to any bank should just have an open mind. Its not the same experience for anyone.

That's why I kept hammering on a particular branch dear, in all the posts and I made reference to it three times in the post above. I can't speak for other branches.

Ehya! Pele! Union bank are the most effective. I don't know how those guys do it but their charges and rate will build a sky scrapper. On Thursday/Friday, they charged a friend, 232 and the charges summed up to like 25k, (can't really remember the exact figure) and note euro was way lower then.

Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by victz: 8:21am On Sep 09, 2015
Why wait till Monday when you can walk into to the embassy and submit a new Deutsch Bank form for blocked account opening? If your schools enrolment deadline is still far you can wait till Monday. But if your schools enrolment date is close, you've got to run fast don't wait till Monday.

Who are those talking about migrants as a threat Put urself in their shoe and lets see if you wont migrate as dem dey drop barrel bomb on your head on daily bases, see ehn germans are not racist, stroll out with my uncle yestarday he showed me the new building construction being. Made for the migrants. Lets be realistic migrants or no migrants germnay is not like naija where effort is frustrated, once u are hardworking, dedicated and disciplined u will excel here so i learnt. So pls lets prepare ourself and stop being a racist by saying "ARAB" are this, they are that. Turkey makes up the largest population here after germans and they cause no havoc. It shall be well with us and we shall all suceed successfully and excel excellently

kigsleymike...Is there a way you can send me a copy of what the letter headed fees breakdown looks like....My scool needs to see a sample so that they will prepare one for all Nigerian students. Thanks a lot
kingsleymike:
@emmanuellaiyke This is how I did mine. Did all in one day(Tue) and received my Deutsche Bank alert in 3 days(Fri). So save yourself the stress and do same.
Set out a day(maybe today), go to Fidelity Bank HQ in VI (somehow close to the German Consulate) make sure you go with a means of identification, utility bill and 2 passport photos, open up a savings account in the banking hall, move to the international operations office and meet with Adeola. She is a nice chubby lady.
Request for a Form A, fill and submit. make sure you go with all the required documents for the Form A, including a break down of study expenses for the duration of study. It must be on a letterhead of your university and must be signed. Before you are through with Adeola you will receive alert from the bank containing your New Fidelity Acct Num. Then go and fund this acct to enable them finalize the transaction.

If you cant provide the signed expenses break down list, consider using Union Bank but be sure to spend more carrying out your transaction.
