You are confusing the whole things. It is not about odd jobs being taken away, it has to do more with how foreigners are being misused. For instance in the past before the influx of foreigners most companies would outsource, areas such as cleaning and refuse removal from their firms in the form of tenders and pay huge sum of money for that, but today they just only pick up some few foreigners on the street to do all that for them for a bargain, saving company a lot of money for a project that they have always tendered for by following necessary legal directives.

Now factories go the short cut by avoiding advertising and procurement costs. That's why the economy is not doing well because everyone is not getting what he used to get. It affects newspapers from the profit they used to make in advertising of these tenders causing them to retrench staff. It affects the survivability of these cleaning services companies.

There are many companies which were established specially for that purpose of cleaning and removing or disposing refuse from these factories. Most of these companies are registered as BEE compliant to empower the previously disadvantaged community.
. We also have those cleaning companies here and companies who can afford them go for them, nobody complains,, you cant tell those companies not to cut cost when they have an alternative to some expenses incurred, its something most companies strive on Less expenses, more revenue..

so INDIRECTLY your citizens also do those odd jobs just that that theirs is behind cleaning company services..
It just amuses me how you people are always saying we do Odd jobs like there is NOT EVEN ONE Nigerian who is a professional..
You should complain more to your government to make necessary/alternative provisions for them ,you complain that they're thieves and you're also angry that they do Menial Jobs.Tell your govt. to quit hiding behind diplomatic-relations-pretence and Deport them, your citizens already gave them the green light by being xenophobic, at Most other countries will talk & cry foul but you get your satisfaction of not wanting foreigners who take your odd jobs, are thieves, rapists, fake pastors and all

@ bold. Please black south Africans are dirt - poor. One of the poorest in all of Africa. And yes the do run spaza shops but like with their women foreigners dominated them out. Here is a research by your own bureau of market statistics that conducted a research on why local south African spaza shops just don't fly. Your barefaced lies is beginning to burden me with a heavy sense of shame since you don't know what the word means.

[b]
The township spaza shop competition is tough, and the subject of foreign-owned spazas is a thorny one for many local spaza shop owners.

A Cape Town based non-profit organisation, the Sustainable Livelihoods Foundation (SLF), conducted a two-year in-depth study to understand the current characteristics of ownership, the scope of employment within the business and trading practices of spaza shops in the Western Cape and Gauteng townships.

Spaza shops are micro-convenience stores which operate in township residential areas, selling groceries, bread, cool drinks, prepaid airtime, sweets and cigarettes.

The findings

The study surveyed over 6000 micro-enterprises in nine localities, covering an estimated 50,000 households.

One of the most striking findings documented in the SLF's report, The Informal Economy of Township Spaza Shops, is that South African owned spaza shops are less competitive than foreign-run spazas.

The reasons given by the study - why foreign shopkeepers enjoy success than South Africans - are attributed to the strength of their social networks, which provide them with access to labour and capital, and thus enable them collective purchasing and market domination

You seem not to know the situation in SA. We all know how much those huge corporation make by selling their products locally and abroad, and some sell their products with fixed prices but they do not want to create jobs for small companies for the economy to grow. Do you know how much bonuses their bosses get paid. They always sneak around and look out for foreigners whom they pay $10 a day for a project that could have caused them $2 million and pocket all the money to their own pockets. What do you call that?

Locals are not interested in tuck shops anymore since many townships in SA have their own shopping malls with Shoprite, Spar, Checkers, OK grocer, Super seven, etc.

And they still flex your babes with the $10 your local Zulu can't provide.

They flex your clubs with $10.

An average mature South African lady is seeking for a nigerian partner. They even have a Facebook group and an online organisation to protect their interest.

Wasn't there a protest by these ladies some time ago when you oblong headed Zulus were discriminating over your inability to control the influx of foreigners taking over your women? grin grin grin Oya, read this :

[b]
South African women tend to be in hot chase for Nigerian men due to their astoundingly “well-endowed” nature and unique sexual prowess, a study conducted by the University of Witswaterrand has revealed.

Some South African women married to Nigerians staged a peaceful protest in Johannesburg
The study which was conducted on the seemingly booming business of penis enlargements through traditional medicine in Johannesburg by researchers from the university, disclosed that Nigerians are leading the way with penis size, followed by two other ethnic groups in South Africa, the Vendas and Tsongas.
The result of the study which was presented recently at the university’s Body Knowledge International Conference, noted that the ubiquitous presence of posters advertising Penis Enlargement products all over the city of Johannesburg puts the spotlight on the male body, focusing on an organ widely regarded as the very seat of manhood.
By suggesting a need to enlarge the penis, the study added, the posters bring up thoughts of male vulnerability, as seen through the fact that most of the posters advertise penis enlargement alongside finding a lost “lost lover”.
Most male respondents, according to the findings of the study, agreed that when it came to penis size, Nigerians were in the lead. However, most Nigerian respondents cited sexual stamina, “care” and material comforts as reasons why women are drawn to them.
Meanwhile, some women said they were tempted to try “big” ones and that “big” was not the preserve of Nigerians as the Vendas and Tsongas, according to them, were not doing badly with size as well. Similarly, few female respondents admitted that they had, had sex with Nigerians, but some said that big joysticks can be painful during sex.
Other Nigerian respondents, according to the report which was published in Mail & Guardian newspaper, further explained that it was their sexual performance, rather than the size of their joysticks that make them sought-partners by South African women. However, all male respondents agreed that there was a big size similar to that of a donkey or a horse. Some said there are guys endowed with shovel-like joysticks.
Although most men, according to the report, believe that “bigger is better”, Nigerians focused on their sexual stamina and the way they take care of women, especially in terms of love and financial support.
According to them, they were not stealing anyone’s women as insinuated in some quarters, but the women prefer and choose them because they strongly believe that sex, love and money go together, adding that it would seem that manhood is not, for the most part, about the size of the man’s penis, but what he does with it and what he offers in exchange.
On the question of what makes Nigerian men perform so well, the study said a wholesome diet of “Nigerian food” as opposed to a Southern African diet that often kills the libido, according to Nigerian respondents. Three things to avoid, some Nigerian men suggested in the study, are too much sugar, fat and alcohol, all of which “kills” a penis.
While lending credence to issues relating to sexual stamina and the tender loving care (TLC) of the average Nigeria guy, one respondent, according to the report said: “There is a saying in my country that you can put a small pepper (chilli) in your mouth, but it can make you open your mouth for the next 30 or 40 minutes. Some joysticks are small, but what they do there is more than what the big one is doing”.
On the contrary, female respondent said small joysticks were “like a teaspoon in a big coffee mug” or “as small as my little finger”. Some were, the report added, more expressive, saying: “Yes, there is small. You ignore it when it’s not erect and think it’s coming (growing bigger as it becomes erect) and then it grows and you’re like no… where’s the rest of it?”
The study also revealed that South African men were of the opinion that “foreigners” are “crazy” about South African women because they find them “mo

That's just lame. Do not rush to type when your fingers ache; make sure your brains are ready grin grin grin That research is 2015 and your shoprite is not in most towns in South Africa. Spaza brings in 800 million rand a year to the informal sector of south African economy.

Zulus can't compete. End of story.

Nigerians will never leave Nigeria to South Africa to become cleaners. Cos they can make far more at home.

Every Nigerian leave Nigeria for a purpose best known to them.

Do you know how much it cost to get Visa, flight ticket, and BTA. It is more than enough to start a good business.

It sound too amazing to be true but it is the truth. Foreigners cannot be hired on permanent bases and company pay them out of their petty cash for doing job that could have paid much more than that. Remember, cleaning of factories' thrash is a daunting task and some include hazadous chemicals that are threat to health. Now companies hire trucks and pick up some few foreigners, sometimes they know where to get them and utilise their services for $10 per day, everyday, every month and every year.
