The Lifestyle Of A MAN OF GOD. by Ultimatesammie(op): 2:10pm On Sep 10, 2015
So many times I hear people complaining abt some pastors and the wealth they have, so im wanna ask
1.Whats wrong with a pastor being rich and having a big house and all, dont we all want that?
2. The wealth of some pastors are not from offerings and tithes (some oo not all) so why do we criticise them.

because they want a man of God to be poor and our God is not poor

It's a combination of religion, ignorance and envy.

a pastor is suppose to be a representative of God.on earth„likewise other Christians.a pastor, should be rich or at least comfortable or I don't think he has any right to preach God as a being that can prosper others. it is myopicness that makes men think that pastors should be poor...my opinion tho

God honors His word more than His names and will never let any man working for Him lack (Psalm 23). There is nothing wrong in being rich as a man of God; whether it's by receiving gifts from Church members or through personal businesses/career/accomplishments. The only thing wrong about it is amassing wealth and sitting on it when billions of poor and helpless people are out there suffering. What then is the difference between them and the unbelieving Millionaires and Billionaires?

A servant of Jesus Christ should lead by example; Pastors and MOGs should stop saving hundreds of millions and billions of Naira in bank accounts and investments but rather do charity, showing brotherly kindness to the less privileged and the afflicted as Jesus Christ taught His followers. For He said if you help the helpless, less privileged and the afflicted persons in prison you've already done for Him.

Pastors should also stop flaunting their wealth; they are not celebrities but servants of humble Jesus; that's worldly and carnal....but they should learn how to store for themselves treasure in Heaven where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Matthew 6:19-21

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal; For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
