Good evening house,

Please I am just thinking, is there a way one can get a refund of upfront tuition fee paid, if TRV is not given eventually. The school is in support of upfront payment but I fell reluctant to ask them if refund might be given, make them no think say I like money too much grin

Any idea peeps?

Merci beaucoup
Why won't dey refund, when they are not high. But u have to prove u were denied visa n some schs usually deduct something, a processing fee or so

Congrats.

I so much agree with the bolded bold or emboldened. Canada is a place that welcomes diversity, especially the academic setting. My landlord na Indian, my apartment mates are Tanzanian and Russian. Classmates na chinko Chinese and Ghanaians.

May God help us reap the good fruits of the land and best wishes to TRV hopefuls.

Congrats to all the recent TRV choppers, and good luck to the awaitees.
My application is about 9 weeks old now and my school has already resumed. Heard with one ear that if the Visa Officer is going to favourably consider my application @ this point, s/he will request me to defer my admission and submit another another letter of acceptance. Can someone with experience please corroborate this info?
I have this very strong believe that I won't have to go through this TRV application process yet again though.

Can someone help with universities for masters degree that are not so expensive in Canada, have tried researching but nothing positive so far.. thanks in advance
memorial UNI, UNI of Ottawa, Brandon UNI but d masters programs aren't much to my knowledge, UNI of Manitoba , UNI of Regina, UNI of sasks, UNI of Vic, prince Edward island. All depend on your course....just check dem out and identify the one that suits ur budget. #most cheaper schools are located in d colder regions of canny(tk note).

Several readers repeatedly discussed this same issue less than 50 pages ago. No you can't work before school starts. That's illegal. You have to enroll in school before you can work.

I would recommend that you use the CIC website to confirm what anyone tells you, especially if it could have a high impact on your legality in Canada.

If you want to work under the table, that's a different story (I'm not recommending it tho).

Please o, did most of you notice the buahri no more dollar and wire transfer in Nigeria? Funny policy. But now I can't take money to canada. Well, the bank gave me an alternative of opening a bank account here and taking my atm there. That being said, for those that ve settled, is it possible to do a transfer from one account to a canadian account that you can open as an immigrant? Thank you
