Ratel-ZT3 with three tank combat kills marked on the side of its turret.

It carries three Ingwe missiles called the Mongol at earlier stages.

In the anti-tank role it is fitted with a tandem HE warhead. Two warheads with the smaller precusor warhead in front it "peels" the outter armour or ERA of the MBT.

Along with the pre-production G6-45 155mm self propelled howitzer, Seeker UAV, Olifant MBT, Raptor 1 glide bomb and others made their combat debut in Southern Angola late in 1988.

Beautiful piece of engineering.

That industry...... The South-African Defence industry is the only thing i envy about South-Africa.

some fat trainers seeing recruits slapping themselves silly ,no wonder we lack in professionalism.there are so many countries releasing decent videos of recruits training under well professional trainers not even from western countries
no wonder we are failing in battle

Honestly I don't think beating recruits with sticks has any place in a professional military.

It's a ritual, a recruitment baptism. A Nigerian army ritual for fresh recruits. I see nothing wrong in it.

that's hazing and bulling which may negate the standard of selection and training course.70% of the time spent bulling and 30% spent training a recruit the result will not be a professional soldier .that's why you find many cases of abuse among civilians by our military. i just want to see a selection course documentary like i posted above from sub sahara africa that is going to astonish me,dont put those old south africa defence forces videos smiley

Why should the west define what is professional to us? Did everyone sit down to agree on a definition of professionalism? grin

I will like to see it as we doing our on thing our own way. Besides there is a documentary on youtube about the NDA, i bet you you wont see any of what is portrayed in the picture in that video.

There is an NDA recruitment video on youtube. Like i've been saying, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that drilling. It's a Nigerian military ritual that would continue to serve it's purpose.

there are many ways to break a man ,i just think if our training was up to standard.we wouldn't be in some blunders we are in at the moment .SAS have not gotten the reputation they have by siting around.
