I just received a 23mb OTA update on my phone this evening. I downloaded and installed it. But when my phone rebooted after the installation attempt, there was an error. Anyone has this similar case?

My phone is not rooted.

Really? What was the update all about? Did you screenshot the changelog?

Edit: I just updated mine, as well. One actually may need to check for update manually, before seeing the update.

I updated mine too...no single error

How come I still received an OTA software upgrade on my hot2 (rooted). Tot rooting voids the warranty. I used the latest kingroot app.

I bought the hot 2 on Wednesday and I texted aone to 131 and they said I was not eligible pls help a brother

I downloaded mine just now but I'm yet to install the update cos I rooted my phone.
I'm afraid of bricking my phone.

Make sure the mtn sim is in slot 1. Then try again by sending A1 to 131

Pls I my pix and music are no more showing on gallery anymore.it says SD unavailable.how do I resolve pls

No, I didn't. I've checked for updates again, but it says my device is up to date, may be it has updated successfully. This is my first OTA experience.

Not really... it only requested for some hidden apps update on Google play like clock,Android system webview etc

The OTA has greatly improved the performance and RAM mgt. There is still a big bug with ambient display though. When ambient display is turned on, the phone screen goes off totally especially at night.

ure right,,cos i got the update immediately after unboxing and inserting a sim,,the performance was good,no heating while on 3g,battery is good too,,cant really see the reason why some peeps discredit this mobile.

mine doesnt have the problem.it works well,,mayb u should try and update the phone,cos i updated mine even before using,mayb dats why i didnt face the problem.
