TheSuperNerd:Lolzzz duly noticed on the word "ADVICE" neva knew I cud make a colossal error of dat word, I was multi taskin then and no thought was given to proof read my comment (I accept my mistake nt justifyin myself) and again thanks for being tacit wit d remarks abt it *Bigger SMILE*. I'm a passive follower of the thread though, always reading comments here to add to some of my experience I had gained far back to when nigeria won d U17 wc in d oruma era was still reciting O.N.E 1 then bt KI goal brought me to express myself..... |

Wow! Come to think of it. This thread has suddenly gained some 'quick' activity only because of Nacho's goal. Nigerians and success........ Na wa o! Kinda good sha but remember that not everyone agreed to this move to man city. Some said a move to a small club would have been better. Some even said it makes no meaning making the match day squad if u don't get to play and only make 1-5 minute cameos. Many negative and pessimistic remarks came through in and out of NL. Why am I saying this? *smiles* It's because we all need to know the initial views we're coming from. A lot of fans are popping up all of a sudden which is great but pls let's care be taken to know who and who stands for what view. Coz if things are to go bad(nope, not gonna happen) people would start talking again. It's an unpopular comment I'm making but I know what I'm saying...... Hahahahahahaha...... It's good to be vindicated but as always people are quick to say "I said it", "I knew it", "I saw it".......... Such childishness must stop. It makes me sick. We must stand by our own no matter the criticism or displeasure we may have towards their soccer career decisions. We must master the true art of constructive criticism on a scale of good not bad combined with open-mindedness. Who saw Nacho's first epl goal coming? Maybe people like Safarigirl, Joseph 1013, TheGoodJoe, AIG07, Mikron (where are u sir?) and myself did as with a few others based on the views on this thread in earlier pages. Why? Coz we believed patience and hardwork would eventually speak for Nacho. Let this be a lesson coz I forsee something similar taking place again, maybe with another of our rising stars. Peace.... *smiles* |

alekside: Make your point. Last season, I was in a bar when someone asked, who is the most skillful player in the EPL. There was an echo of Hazard's name. I said "No, it was Bolasie." That will tell you how highly I rate Bolasie. You can be good but people look at Clubs and Popularity to judge greatness. I do not. Bolasie is definitely one of the best players this season but he was terrific before this season. It is just that Pardew is unleashing him and allowing him express himself more. I am expecting him to make more impact because Alan Pardew will give him license to attack. One of the commentators yesterday hammered on it. He said Bolasie will play terrifically upfront. We keep our fingers crossed. Finally, I want to give Crystal Palace kudos. They were amazing against City and caused us troubles. I pity any team facing them. I will like you to tell me why you think Sterling is better than Bolasie. |

bigblangston:Wilson Oruma had all the talent to become the best in the world but he had the same problem that ruined many talented Nigerian stars. They wanted fame and money. They did not want honor and glory. Glad these new boys want more. Come on Chidera Ezeh. |

"I'll sell Yannick Bolasie, if someone wants to give me £40 million-£60 million—that would be good. We'll build the team around that money."... Alan Pardew (Crystal Palace Boss). I like this man but he can not hold Bolasie forever. A big club will get him soon. |

TheGoodJoe:How can u blame Manu Garba for going to Germany? It was the NFF choice, they chose to follow the exact protocol used by their past predecessors. Go back to 2013 we were in Germany and played the same teams and beyond that we all have the weather channel and nobody spoke up but some guys on here, no media no nothing. We should also know what country we live in if Manu started complaining about the poor work done by the NFF he end's up like Keshi and Okon. As far as tactics that's a coaches choice, Pep left Gotze on the bench all against Barca and the whole world knows how much quality the boy has and his tactics were also questioned the year before against Real. Some coaches sometimes bench great players it happens. I am not here to exonerate Manu infact i agree his tactics were bogus against Germany and Brasil but what about every other match he has coached for the green white green? |

TheSuperNerd:My good friend sir SuperNerd I was busy in site and my client was around so I was not able to watch d match, that's why people like us keep harping on d coach oliseh to include this dynamite and bundle of skills of a boy to d senior national team the Super Eagles. Keshi said he is too young to be in senior team, I hope oliseh watched what nacho and ighalo did ystdy? Na cooperation dey make rice dey full pot. I don talk my own. |
| Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheGoodJoe(m): 6:57pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
You have a strong point. The message with Keshi was clear by the NFF. If you do not coach according to their plans, you are smoked. Either way, something terrible went on behind the scene. What hurt me most about the German match was similar to the Man City game yesterday against Palace. When things are not working, try another approach. Coach Manu Garba had one more change to make. Why not use it and opt for Nacho. It was obvious. That was time for individual brilliance to keep us in the competition. Just as Coach Pellegrini threw in Nacho yesterday. There is no way Coach Manu Garba and Coach Ugbade did not know that was the only change to make. Why he did not do it remains a mystery. BascoVanVeli: |

TheSuperNerd:Yeah man.Kudos to all d guys and lady that have kept this thread active. We should all know dat we cannot hold same views as regards football. There will always b arguments. And i also give kudos to peeps on this thread for the high level of maturity displayed so far in our analysis: devoid of insults and names calling. U guys have my respect. This is d thread i spend 80% of my nairaland time on. Keep d topics and arguments coming. 1 love. |

TheGoodJoe:If you read Nwakali's interview, you'd know that it was an intentional act by Manu. He'd rather die than introduce Iheanacho. In the end, Manu won, for we lost the game while his ego was intact. The wicked man would go ahead to say Iheanacho was not good enough for his team and his assistant would go ahead to say that we rate the boy too highly and that if he was that good, why wasn't he playing for the Man City first team. You can imagine such callous statements. May we never see such irrational fellows handle the future of our kids again. |

safarigirl: No naaa, we are all free to air our views. How will u feel in say abt 15-20 yrs time if some kid start telling u what or what nt abt d Golden Eaglets of 2013 & Flying Eagles of 2015. See, Nigerian Flying Eagles and post Flying Eagles have so dissapointed me over d decades dat i have learnt to lower my expectations from them. The 2011 set was d last straw dat broke d camels back. I am sure with this last U20 u guys have learnt dat d competition at U20 is far more dan that of U17; dat winning d U17 does nt guarantee u d U20 two yrs later. D learning continues. I am nt being a prophet of doom bt jst with ur very eyes u'll see how most of those guys u call super talents will fissle out.It happens in football every where in d world. |

AIG07:I was a City fan before Yaya Toure, Silva and Aguero joined Man City. Although there is nothing wrong in someone joining City because of Nacho. I knew guys who started supporting Arsenal because of Kanu. I knew some who joined Chelsea because of Mikel. |
