Mody, how far? You don recover? I agree with you that it cant be worse. This is because most of the things GEJ put in place will be maturing within his tenure assuming babaonechance do not kill em off. Ippis cannot be reversed therefore theft through ghost workers will be a thing of the past. I can go on.

But with the penchant for releasing acquitting and promoting who were fired or remanded in prison for terror related reasons, I don't really know. The latest beneficiary is a cleric who was in DSS custody for terror related offence. The police commissioner is a stale news.

I have represented accused persons who were described as terrorist. during trial no evidence was given to support the charge. even soldiers who described them as terrorists never showed in court.

If a man is complicit in abetting a crime, you don't just dismiss him you also charge him and jail him through evidence. see Col Hamid address to custom. But in the case u cited what manner of incompetence reduced an allegation of abetting terror to a mere dismissal from service or detention without trial.

The truth is GEJ appointees reversed themselves for want of evidence.

What you Wailers do not realize is that GEJ actually crafted great initiatives but sacrificed every single one of them on the altar of his greediest cronies. Even the so called Agric Transformation Agenda marred by large scale racketeering. How our local fertilizers company was undermined in favour of foreign ones. How about rice importation? you have no idea what local farmers were going through after being encouraged to produce.

Look at our balance of trade arrangement with other countries. you will be shocked that our export to china is negligible not up to 5% our total export. but our import from China is tops 40% of our total export. meanwhile debt under GEJ is 1/3 of all our debts since 1960. his tenure is just about 1/10. and shockingly, he earned more money from petroleum than all the administrations combined since 1980. Ask yourself how many social infrastructures were built for the masses. Don't go far capital expenditure never reached 30%! so GEJ govt, like its predecessors made money, borrowed money and consumed more than 70% of it.

But we are now being called upon to be grateful for that peanut and mock PMB for stopping the train of economic terror.

Give GEJ 100 year, they will simply undermine their own reforms through procurement racketeering. and once they are pushed out, what they have hindered from working will start working!

The hooked handed hate preacher who was helping with the recruitment of jihadist fought against his extradition. The European court granted his request for want of evidence but the UK government went back to drawing board and got him extradited. He is serving life in jail. If I follow your argument, I would have said he is no terrorist because he won his extradition case. In the case of the Biu guy, he was reinstated and retired under this very government. His dismissal could be due to incompetence not necessarily terrorism. It could also be argued that he had sympathy for the terror suspect which makes him a terrorist. If you dismiss the second scenario for want of evidence, you cannot dismiss the case of incompetence for allowing a high risk suspect to escape. The accused should suffer some form of punishment to make others sit up. In a saner clime, he would have resigned.

Now Buhari recalled him from dismissal, granted him pardon and retired him with his due benefit. Are you for real?

The cleric case is similar to Abu Hamza case I cited above but he has been awarded N1 million naira in damages. What a regime? In the UK terror law, the police is given powers remind a terror suspect in prison custody pending when investigation is concluded. This means one can remain in custody infinitely as long as terrorism charges are involved. The DSS that released him has no GEJ appointee because they have all been retired or dismissed by your lord who pays back an eye with an eye.

Thank you for acknowledging that GEJ great initiatives. And I am sure you know that those you accused of being greedy cronies were the ones that crafted the initiatives. You have represented terror suspect and I assume you are a lawyer. You have also said some cases were dismissed for lack of evidence. I will be happy to hear the kind of racketeering that took place and give us evidence of the racketeering. Tell us what local farmers were going through. Give us evidence. I know that most locally produced rice were not enough for those who preferred them. Ask those who wanted Abakaliki rice for instance. You hardly see enough of it. GEJ reduced importation by 70%. He delayed outright ban because when he found out that it would create hardship. I am waiting for the evidence to back up your accusation otherwise I will dismiss it as mere incompetence on your part having used the same measure yourself in your first paragraph. I put it to you that you chose to mention the Agric transaformation because you are not happy about what GEJ achieved in that sector. Even you Buhari that has seen nothing good in GEJ supported the minister for ADB president and APC Kwankwaso named a project after him.

Finally on this, the reason why the laudable initiatives had delayed maturity was because the NORTH and APC had promised to make the country ungovernable. You brought insecurity in the North and sabotaged every effort he made to get things right.
These people were behind the sabotage of the gas pipelines when they knew he had gotten it right in electricity and that would have swayed votes for him.

can you explain why the power situation nose dived from Jan and within the 6 weeks running up to March 28 was close to comatose and resurrected immediately after and has remained stable afterwards? What kind of magic? why is it that we have not heard of pipeline vandalism?

You are not talking to a child sir. The power minister complained that the vandals destroy the pipeline when they are about to hit 5000 MW. That tells they are insiders who work for the north and the APC. Dont tell me GEJ could not stop it. When the North and South West who occupy most of the positions in the country decide to bring a government down by sabotage, it is as good as done. It was not Northern agenda sir.

Where were you when the federal government had running battle with the house of reps as to what benchmark the budget would be based. NOI insisted on a very prudent price but the house of reps controlled by APC sympathy refused to bulge. They had their way. Where were you when the governors kicked against the sovereign wealth fund preferring to spend everything that accrued from oil against NOIs advice?
Where were you when labour downed their tools at the beginning of GEJ's administration. Over 70 % of the debt you talk about was debt incurred following the increase in wages in 2011. Search the internet.
GEJ's government reduced debt. The debt you may be talking about now are most of the APC governors, Fashiola, Oshiomole, Aregbesola etc. More than 70% of the debts owed by states come from the South Western states ruled by APC. What are you talking about lawyer?

TonyeBarcanista:
It is no news that since May 29, Nigeria has been delving from a very bad situation to a near comatose situation. Our economy did not only suffer but appears to be as the biggest victim of Buhari's mal-administration and ineffectiveness. Three sectors that I shall talk about in this article are the Economy, Security and the Petroleum sectors. Let's proceed...

STATE OF THE ECONOMY UNDER BUHARI
During the electioneering period, President Buhari promised a 'gigantic' but illogical economic prosperity when/if elected. Immediately he was elected and sworn-in, everything changed for the negative. Job losses everywhere and uncertainty/negative slide is the order of the day. Let's see JP Morgan issue

JP MORGAN:
To those that don't understand, JP Morgan is simply an index. Investors trust their index so much that over N40 trillion is put up by investors on bonds that JP Morgan list. In 2012 Nigeria's bond under the able leadership of Dr Goodluck Jonathan, ex-Finance Minister Ngozi Iweala and former CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi FOR the first time was listed by the index. This brought about investment into our bond market by foreign investors. In January this year, the Index placed our bond market on a warning list. Unfortunately, they decided to de-list us from their index starting from next month.

Why Nigeria Bond Market Was removed:
JP Morgan's decision to de-list Nigeria's bond is summarily because of lack of fiscal policies by the Buhari government and CBN's tickling/manipulation of the Foreign exchange (www.reuters.com/article/idUSL5N11F1YQ20150909). The failure of Buhari to constitute a cabinet/implement fiscal programs has cost Nigeria potential investors and led to loss of some of the investors that Buhari inherited. The country is bleeding.

JP Morgan Never Asked Nigeria To Devalue The Naira:
Contrary to the fables in some quarters, JP Morgan never asked Nigeria to devalue the Naira as a pre-condition to remain. It only raised concern that CbN was tickering with the Naira thereby allowing it a false value which no investor will accept. In simple terms, it advocated that market indices determine the market value (which some of us have been advocating). It also called for fiscal policies to be implemented , which Buhari led administration is yet to do. The country is bleeding.

STATE OF THE PETROLEUM SECTOR
Okay, since time immemorial, patriotic Nigerians have insisted that the ongoing TAM is due to the efforts by the immediate past administration of Dr Goodluck Jonathan. The administration in March this year was very clear when it told the Senate that our refineries will start working optimally from the first quarter of 2016. On assumption to office, the Buhari administration in June 11 without lifting a 'shovel' came out to say that the Portharcourt refinery will resume optimal production in July www.premiumtimesng.com/business/184850-port-harcourt-refinery-to-start-production-august-nnpc.html. Not done, they came out on July 20 that ALL 4 refineries will start optimal production in July
www.premiumtimesng.com/business/185402-nigerias-four-refineries-to-resume-production-in-july.html.

July came and gone...August came and has gone... Now the GMD of NNPC on September 10 came out to say the 4 refineries will start working optimally in December
www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/189786-nigerias-4-refineries-must-be-functional-within-90-days-nnpc-boss.html

I won't be surprised If by December they shift it to January/February 2016 in line with the projected first quarter by GEJ administration.

STATE OF SECURITY/INSECURITY:
As a pastor in Tinubu House of Prayer Ministry, Yemi Osinbajo was to use spiritual warfare in alliance with the military experience of renowed War field marshall, General Muhammadu Buhari to uproot Boko Haram from our territory. That was the message that APC gave Nigerians during the electioneering period. But since coming to power, Boko Haram that was in their extinction phase as at May 28 suddenly came back and have been terrorising Nigerians in the most brutal manner. Since May 29, over two thousand Nigerians has lost their lives. The latest victims are the unfortunate people in the IDP camp in Adamawa state. May their souls rest in peace.

You can pull the wool off the vast majority of Nigerians, but Jesus Christ...really?! Did you write that?

Take care. At least you tried. But do.more research to understand what the subject you delved into is all about.

The most important gauge of PMB vs GEJ's government is how the people on ground feel about the effects of their respective policies. Long articles and fictitious statistics are personal entertainment for writers. We learned this from Okonjo Iweala who was known to wake up one day and declare that Nigeria is an economic el dorado only to wake up the next day preaching austerity measures. In all, she used long articles and statistics to justify her inferences. Who is fooling who?

Just for clarification, did you say JP Morgan is an index? ROTFLMAO.

It is only a biased and sentimental individual will refuse to acknowledge the great work GEJ did for this country. We are waiting for Buhari who has denied all his campaign promises.

For the sake of this country, I want him to succeed but karma is a biatch I must say.

Brilliant presentation

I believe people will make reference to this post of yours years later. cool
