Most of the points raised here about the inclusion of Pat on PMB's cabinet are faulty for the following reasons:

1. He wasn't the majority shareholder or CEO of Bank PHB, Atuche was. Utomi was just the chairman. If anybody ran the Bank aground, it's most unlikely to be him as evidenced from the litigations that followed the Bank's collapse.

2. Pat was Head of Corporate affairs at VWN and later DMD (with direct responsibility for Corporate affairs division) and acted briefly for the MD while on leave. The positions of CEO, CFO and Head of Technical division was the prerogative of the Technical partners (VWAG) as per the JV agreement and these positions were occupied by the Germans. It's therefore unfair to ascribe the collapse of VWN to Pat Utomi.

Pat Utomi has been a leading political economy commentator and activist for decades and I only expect him to walk the talk if he gets the job.

All this speculations sef. Same story we've been hearing even before PMB was sworn in

Nigerian youths are the most gullible in the world. You don't find then on quora or any intellectual forum where real issues are being discussed. Even on Nairaland.com and Linda, they only comment on politics and gossips. The future is bleak for a generation that is mentally enslaved. Four years will come and go, your life will still remain the same if all you are waiting for is for these old politicians to come to your rescue. I can't believe that guys in their thirties and forties will still call themselves names online because of these politicians. With all I read on nairaland.com, the future is bleak with the mentality of an average Nigerian youth.

LoL, there are some comments I read on NL and I wonder if that is how some people actually think in reality......Turning every thing to a tribal war so annoying But since NL has 1.4m members its just some of them that types rubbish.... They are just a minute percent of Nigerian Youths,,So the future is not bleak.

Pat and soo many others like him have sound economic policies on the pages of papers 4 the country . It becomes a whole new level wen ur in the system. There are several keynote addresses, papers these guyz have presented to the government, each reeling out why things are not working in Nigeria but as soon as the person gets there he discovers talk is cheap.

The most dangerous problem with nigeria is that each government brings a whole new economic policies. That is why we hv abandoned projects all over nigeria even in state level. Continuity with some tweeking is what we need.

The question of whether or not he did anything tangible in Osun State will remain a debate between his admirers and foes. If we don't want "recycled" politicians, what is the name of Pat Utomi, who was an SA to Shehu Shagari in the 1980's doing there? In the 1980's Oyinlola was not a politician. He received his first political appointment as an army officer in the mid 1990's when Abacha made him the Lagos State Governor.
