its simple.. Use SP Flash tools.. extract the ROM, click on scatter-loader from the flash tools, and point it to the folder you extracted to select the scatterfile.txt.
at this point, turn your phone completely off and disconnect from the PC. Select firmware upgrade and click download. Now plug in your phone to the USB, the process should start, dont interrupt until its done. Finis

or if you have stock recovery, copy the zip file to your SD card, boot into recovery, select update zip from SD, let it run and reboot when its done.

the notification part is true, you don't get pop-up notifications when screen is off. but that's not a deal breaker if you ask me. battery and ram not 100% like kit kat but still quite good.

Battery drain is better now, but not like kit-kat.
Sound quality is also better, if not better than kit-kat (it seems like that to me, cus call clarity sounds better than kitkat)
Camera I've not really tested. So far, so good. Use the first option to flash, to be on a safe side. Do a backup of your stock everything in case u run into problems.

Dunno. The 5.1 update sent to infinix zero2 is far better in terms of RAM management.

i've been reading the complaints about RAM on this thread with amusement and concern.

android OS does not work like Windows or any other OS you know

on Android, FREE RAM IS WASTED RAM

So long as our phone is not locking up from lack of resources, its working exactly as it is intended. The OOM (out of memory) settings are not as aggressive as they could be because the apps don't have the same behaviour as on earlier versions of android.

If you change the OOM settings, it will simply drain your battery faster as your apps/services will keep being killed and restarted in the background. This is the same error that using task-killers commit which result in battery drain.

The OS manages itself efficiently and will shutdown some apps for the ones in the foreground if it needs RAM.

i'm do not even understand why you constantly check how much free RAM you have. NL emergency geeks have taught you guys rubbish.


I REPEAT: FREE RAM, IS WASTED RAM. of what use is the free ram? This is not windows. Your stuff are cached in RAM for speed.

Is your phone struggling for performance because of RAM or you just keep checking for free RAM and freaking out? i've seen the latest Lollipop on this device and it runs just fine!

use proxydroid. apparently the developer of autoproxy still needs to optimize it for lollipop.
