No, but the:
- Embedded GPS/Inertial Navigation System
- Telephonics Ocean-Eye radar
- Sysdel Sea Raven Electronic Support Measures (ESM) suite (which is used for passive target detection and identification)
- Denel Optronics Argos 410-M Electro Optic Sight System (with a forward-looking infra-red (FLIR) sensor and a day camera passive target identification and recording.)
- Sysdel electronic warfare suite
- a Saab Grintek Avitronics EW countermeasures system
- infrared exhaust suppression system
- electro-optical sighting system (EOSS)
- Tellumat an Identification Friend or Foe system.

While Target tracks and video images can be transmitted to the parent ship in real time using the Datalink unit supplied by Thales Advanced Engineering

Add about 30 million to the price.

And citations:

As you can see, the Lynx is hardly "just a SAR platform"
Show us proof that SAAF Lynx has all those hardware you listed, apart from radar and FLIR.

Your $ 40 million was purchased stripped of every lethal and high performance hardware, you were ripped off by your British masters again.

Your Lynx is not even armed with any weapon, it is a mere coast guard helicopter for patrol/rescue.

Finished !

[s]It's easy to demolish the garbage you wrote above.

1. Nigerian army has won the Boko Haram war and the enemy is in disarray and 99% dead, many now surrender to the mighty Naija army !

http://neurope.eu/article/scores-of-boko-haram-fighters-surrender/

2. Your NAF news is old 2009, we did not even have any F-7 jet in those days, we have purchased over 70 new aircraft from 2010-2015

3. The Nigerian navy chief also said the ships faults were very minor and easy to fix :

"The committee also found that several navy vessels - including NNS Damisa and NNS Victory - and light patrol boats were broken down with minor mechanical problems which could be easily fixed".

Nigerian navy has about 400 vessels and 50% down means 200 still active, 5 times more than the entire South African navy.

All your 3 points are demolished in 3 minutes[/s] grin grin
.
1. War against Boko Haram is not over. Defeating rag tag militia in your own country, after suffering massive defeats is not something worth bragging over anyway

2. Prove it

3. Fact is, majority of your fleet is non operational. You dont have over 400 vessles.

Stop wasting my time, stop wasting my time little boy!

So the fact that it is a targetting platform for the Valour Class means nothing?

LOL

Ever heard the naval saying "whoever radiates first dies first"?

Think about what that means and think about how the Lynx fits into this

And I think the .50 ma'deuce counts as a weapon, dipshit

Nigeria has weaponized armed AW 109 helicopter.

SAAF has basic rescue Lynx.

Show us proof that your SAAF Lynx has all the hardware you listed apart from radar and FLIR.

There is NO machine gun on your Lynx, it is said to be an option weapon which you DO NOT have.

I believe Buhari is wise enough to understand the politics. Nigerians are wiser than what they think.
Do you remember this story https://www.naij.com/388982-army-captures-french-boko-haram-fighters-france-demands-them-back.html
Yes,I remember the story,of course,Cameroon eventually repartraited those terrorists back to France and the case died down just like that.No AU and UN investigation!,No Nigerian diplomatic intervention!.
PMB should demand a public apology from France for sponsoring Biafra and stoking civil war in the 1960's.Tough diplomatic decisions have to be made, everybody cannot be our friend.
I believe that Nigeria and France can cooperate in mutual bilateral trade and investment without necessarily keeping up a mirage of warmth.Just like Germany and Russia.

What makes Nigerian AW 109 a rust bucket ? They are brand new helicopters we purchased around year 2003.

Your own navy can't even properly protect a small maritime area of only 822km against piracy yet you wanna compare to SA that has a 2800km maritime area.

Our Lynx is way more advance then anything in service anywhere in sub saharan navies and that's a fact.

Nigeria is an embarrassment to africa.
Nigeria saves Angola and protects Ghana down to your SADC region when they are attacked by pirates in deep ocean, they call our navy not South Africa.

Your SAAF Lynx is far far inferior to NAF ATR-42 mighty Surveyor.

Both cost the same basic price before any upgrade or extra hardware !

Super Lynx SAAF $ 40 million

ATR-42 Surveyor NAF $ 40 million

You see how foolish the whole nation of South Africa is? Britain ripped you off again with those over-priced Lynx patrol/rescue helicopters grin

NAF has weaponized our AW 109.

Oh I see, your Lynx carries only a small machine gun.....Nigerian Gazelle, Eurocopter, AW 109, Super Puma, all carry Machine Guns too !

Our AW 109 costs $10 million, your $40 million Lynx carries the same one machine gun like our Gazelle that costs $ 2 million grin grin

You South Africans must be foolish spenders of money grin grin

Irony: a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result.

Nigerians try to paint the Lynx as an SAR platform... turns out it isnt

Nigerians forget that their only operational Maritime helo is LITERALLY only capable of SAR

This is hilarious

The second source is a the general source for a fully equipped Super Lynx, that is why it includes missiles and torpedoes which SAAF Lynx does NOT have. Show me your own SAAF Lynx hardware, show me you have ESM, EW, etc that you copy pasted from the general specs of well armed Super Lynx.

NAF has weaponized Agusta AW 109 helicopters.

"Two trailers suspected to be carrying logistics support to members of the Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) sect have been intercepted and destroyed by the Nigerian Air Force Agusta helicopter on armed reconnaissance mission around the Nigeria-Cameroon border, Air Commodore Dele Alonge Director of Public Relations & Information Nigerian Air Force said in a statement on Sunday."
