Isoko has been submerged with Urhobo. To be frank and honest, Urhobo and Isoko are one and they were only divided for political reasons. Most people, however, still submerge Isoko as a dialect of Urhobo.

Anioma people, except for Ndokwa nation, have nothing in common with the people of the Niger Delta other than proximity. The Anioma stock has its own culture and are in no way similar to those of the Urhobo, Isoko or Izon. I guess that's why the op didn't include it. That's not to say Anioma culture is inferior though. Just that they have more ties with the Igboid culture than the Edoid stock.

I get your point. But nor let Isoko people hear o. The similarity is obvious but we live in a nation where tribes assert their independence.

Even Okpe sometimes wish to stand out from mainstream Urhobo, let alone Isoko.

I'm actually a fan of the greater Edoid culture. Esan, Benin, Urhobo/Okpe, Isoko, Owan, Degema and many more should become familiar with the various cultures. A Bini man should aspire to learn Urhobo, an Urhobo should aspire to learn Afemai and so on.
By doing so, we can feel comfortable in our own unique ethnic identity and equally feel part of a wider ancestral family and indeed Nigeria.
