Hello house,
I drive a W203 C180 the throttle stops to accelerate but if you put off the engine and restart it could work normally for a while and at times goes really crazy. it's a right hand drive conversion. I have changed the actuator, throttle sensor ,brain box, airflow meter, front sam. Was told to change the body wire but couldn't find in the market. Any suggestion please?

You will keep replacing parts without getting solution to the problem if you continue this way. You need to Scan that car 1st and the result will guide you to know the next line of action. Your mechanic is also not helping matters

Good evening everyone. I have a problem I need help with.
Some weeks ago,my car a w123 with 1999 c-class(w202) engine started jerking intermittently especially when the engine is hot.
My mechanic said the problem was caused by a failing fuel pump. Now the pump has been changed to a new pump & the car is no more jerking but it always has a difficulty starting especially when the engine has rested for like 5 minutes and it also idles roughly.
I have changed plugs and plug wires, tested it with another distributor, crankshaft sensor and coil but the problem still persists.

Hello.

Has the problem been resolved?

A c class engine in a w123?

Let's talk

The fault is from the accelerator pedal that's what that needs changing.

Just got this ML320 and after respraying the part that got some scratches when moving it out from the container, my mechanic just called me complaining about the vehicle overheating and the need to remove the thermostat and connect the fan directly. I still feel there is need to leave the thermostat in the vehicle, kindly advice on what decision to take because I don't want to regret using this vehicle once registered.
Also where can I get its original brake pads (and for how much) because I felt the pads are near to being metals.

Gurus in the house please help a brother.... grin grin grin

. . . what needs to be 'removed' here is your mechanic and not the thermostat. Find a competent mechanic who will check if you have bubble in your engine coolant or should provide you with proper diagnosis as to the engine overheat.

if you are in Lagos, you can contact Gazzuzz

Bros I dey beg you - CHANGE THAT MECHANIC NOW!!!!!

Why do Nigerian mechanics always give the same useless advice? A thermostat was NEVER made to be removed as it regulates the temperature of the engine. Would you remove the thermostat from your iron? Bros the principle is the same.

Fact: I removed the thermostat from my first car based on this dumb advice and my engine eventually knocked after multiple problems with overheating

The Glk is truly a ride to own.
Great ground clearance and yet handles like a sport sedan.
Fuel consumption is slightly higher than your regular Japs.#Camry, Accord.

Suspension is great though expensive but as soon as it's replaced.....could last you decade.....except your route is mile 2- okokomaiko.
