13 Parastatals, Includng NNPC, Exempted From TSA – Daily Times Nigeria by 175(op): 2:49pm On Sep 21, 2015

The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has granted an exemption to thirteen MDAs in line with the e-collection and mop up exercise by the federal government.

A circular from the AGF’s office to the The Director, Central Bank of Nigeria, Banking & Payments System Department, on September 14 made this exceptions, though it has not been announced.

By virtue of this circular, the following bodies will not be subject to the TSA: NNPC, PHCN, BOI, Railways, Mortgage Bank, Bank of Agriculture, NIPP, Galaxy Backbone, Ajaokuta Stell, Niger Delta Power, Urban Development Bank, NEXIM and Transcorp Hilton.

There is no way the government could be strict about TSA, it just like blocking all route to a building. Na small small dem go dey flex the rule till its no longer effective.

How will the commercial banks (who are the access point to the populace) receive money on behalf of the government when all government accounts are domiciled with the CBN?

TSA is good but still needs a good fine tune. Imagine, CAC web declining receipt of funds due to TSA. That is just CAC.

Of course! It's no surprise that all we've heard has been hot air. Soon others will procure exemptions so why d drama in d first place? Why not properly analyse policies before demanding enforcement?
