coastal artillery will pepper the submarine area with shells while alpha jets will bombard your Mandela boats. then you'll know why Nigeria has the best artillerymen in whole of Africa.

Gunfire has been used to disable submarines from the First World War onwards, a helicopter missile attack was used to disable the " Santa Fé" in the Falklands War.

Air-dropped bombs set to explode at a shallow depth, while the submarine ls submerged to escape attack.

you think because you have inferior submarine then you have any strategic advantage? delusional fool..
wake up from your dreaming.
How will a submarine be within range of your coastal artillery. Do you think subs will operate in shallow waters, are you that naïve.

Your Alphas don't have the weapons to even be a threat and it is no match for our Umkhonto SAM and CIWS.

Your pathetic small numbers of ancient artillery with no fire control is by no means the best in africa we've proven this before. No artillery in sub sahara matches SANDF's G5 and G6 fact.

Are you coming here to compare WWII U-boats to modern day submarines. You have no ASW helo and your Aradu is non operational.

Guy please research before attempt another uninformed escapade.

Next time we must have a thread with the following heading as mentioned below.

WHO HAS THE STRONGEST GAME RANGERS IN AFRICA
Botswana.....their rangers save 500 South African exiled Rhinos that were shipped from Kruger Park

Why would the submarine wait until it absutely has to surface?

Why would it not keep enough reserves for combat?
.....because of...

1. Need to always stay submerged to avoid massive air and sea surveillance by Nigeria, especially the new Nigerian navy sophisticated Falcon Eye electronic sensors that will detect even a kettle of tea floating on Nigerian EEZ waters even beyond the Gulf of Guinea.

2. Limited battery power.

3. Can only last initial 50 hours to sail in, and remaining 50 hours to sail out of Nigerian EEZ without any hour available to patrol or harass any ship which are already out of reach and safe in the harbour.

Your submarine will be seen on it's way snorkeling from your country and will be seen every time it snorkels in Nigerian waters !

Beware of Nigerian Navy's new Israeli made Falcon Eye 24 hour detection systems, only we have it in Africa ! NN is unique and world class
.

Also - have you bothered to work out the size of the area our subs will be hunting you? Its 298,550km2
It does not matter, Nigerian navy already has TOTAL 24 HOUR COVERAGE of our entire 300,000 km2 EEZ zone and even beyond into Gulf of Guinea, with our new sophisticated FALCON EYE ocean surveillance systems. Nigeria is a sea power, you underestimate us, we are shocking you.

South Africa has NEVER seen any thing like our Falcon Eye in your national history !

It will have no reserve cos it will still be in our EEZ. It can only move 400nmi submerged. Your subs are useless in Nigeria territorial water. Stop thinking you have a nuclear submarine and face the reality. I guess you watch too much films.
The Southies watch American movies of nuclear power engine submarines, they think the American sub is the same as their own battery powered sea toy grin

The Falcon Eye is noting special its a ordinary surveillance camera used to monitor ships in and out your harbours.

Post the range of that ordinary system you fool.

Use your brain

It has a range of apprx ~400nmi submerged

Your EEZ extends only 200nmi from your coastline

This means that we can submerge IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS, launch our strikes and exfil only to snorkel again in international waters

What you fail to realize is the size of the area the sub will be operating in which makes the search like hunting a needle in a field full of haystacks

This is just the first of the many flaws in your thinking
Your mathematics is bad because you have a Cape Colony South African low grade brain.

Your sub needs 200 nmi to get into our coastline.....your torpedoes have about 12 nmi range, you need to get close to our coast, you cannot fire short range torpedo from far distance.

Then the sub needs another 200 nmi to get out of our coastline, meaning it must NOT stay, hunt, or patrol on Nigerian coast for even one minute, or else you will be forced to fully snorkel inside our EEZ !

A snorkeling submarine is not a needle in a haystack, it is even visible to naked eyes from the sea and air !

Problem is, we Nigerians have rendered a $ 300 million South African submarine useless and powerless, bush meat pursuing the hunter tongue tongue
.

You don't have no sub nor any ship to counter a sub so shut up. Nuclear subs also have their own disadvantages.

Guy we haven't talk about the radar on our vessels and other aircrafts.
Radars we have on our stealth combat catamaran high speed gun boats and, more radars + FLIR on out high speed Shaldag armed ocean interceptors, super speed boats that run twice faster than a torpedo and almost fly in the air above the ocean as we sail skimming the surface. Their Submarine will be hunted down and sunk, the hunter will become the hunted.

Subs can stay 200mni out of your coast and with the help of valours create a naval blockade. Your navy won't stop us not even your 2 F-7 relics.

We've already proven your brown water navy will be hiding in your docks very scared.

You will waste your time trying to detect modern subs using radar.

How will the boat even know the torpedo is even there? Bwahahahaha…

your heroine class is a variant of type 209 which the Argentinians used in the Falkland war.

how will you attack Us from high SEAS? you think heroine class is for Atlantic ocean?

your submarine will come within range of our coastal artillery in an attempt to fire your 12km range torpedoes at our naval ships. meanwhile our palmaria artillery can reach out to 25km out to sea and our haubits fh77 can reach out to 20km.
we'all saturate your operational area with 155mm artillery shells and you'll beg for mercy.

During the Falklands War the Argentinian used Type 209/1200 submarine
"San Luis" for patrol.

The heroine class can dive over 500 m underwater, fool. So can any shell explosion effects reach to that level? No
Maximum tested depth of your sub is 250 m. May be capable of 300 m safely. You want to go try 500 m and get crushed by ocean pressure? It will squeeze all of your sailors and their submarine into flat bread sandwiches.

12km at 35knots.

anyway our Shaldag -class fast patrol boat fly's at 50knots and is armed with depth charge and 25mm cannon.

at 50knots we'll dribble SAN submarine while blasting her. with cannon and she can't touch the Shaldag -class fast patrol boat.

when SAN hears of the Shaldag -class fast patrol boat they all cower and tremble.

Southies don't know what sea warfare is in reality, all they know is to show photos of frigates and submarines, how it all works in sea battle is beyond their low calibre understanding

Prove it, prove how you know a classified secret system in detail.

DictatorZAR:
Post the range of that ordinary system you fool.
"Speaking at the inaugural lecture of officers’ long course organised by the Nigerian Naval Ship (NNS) QUORRA, former Flag Officer Commanding Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral Francis Akpan (rtd.) , said the system would assist in monitoring, tracking and collating maritime activities to protect national interest.

He also said the Falcon Eye system would enable the force monitor the movement of vessels within the country’s territorial waters and the Gulf of Guinea and enable them also to track such vessels and ultimately arrest them."

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/navy-acquires-israeli-surveillance-system-to-tackle-oil-theft/220493/

Falcon Eye covers the whole Nigerian EEZ and extends into Gulf of Guinea. South African navy will never get such sophistication, your South African navy is 100 years behind Nigerian navy, you lack a composite ocean monitoring and passive defense system combining air, sea, and coastal land equipment.

Submarines and frigates alone do not make a modern, effective, balanced and complete navy
