We all know that sponsored marriages involves someone or a couple of people bearing the wedding expenses of those, who cannot afford to get married because of financial difficulties. I have been wondering how a woman who is a beneficiary of this system feels about her man and their wedding. I believe most men who benefited from this do not have any problem with sponsored marriages. What do you think about sponsored marriages? Can you give it a try if opportune to?

I wont! The person sponsorinng the wedding, could as well give the couple the money to start up something meaningful. It's not a must to invite the whole world to your wedding and starve afterwards.

They could just go for a marriage blessing and channel the money on something else

I have already thought of that, do you want me to recommend one for you?
The poverty chain can be broken by re-orientation of the Nigerian populace. I dont see anything wrong seeking the opinion of others on an issue.

The people asking for marriage sponsoship actually require d re-orientation more.


When d individuals fail to do wat dey r suppose to do, dey start putting blames on the government n one evil spirit.

But you know its normally a wedding of 4 or more couples, so the sponsor/s would be glad to replace the person leaving with another person. The couple should have written a business proposal instead of accepting the sponsor's offer. Anyway, maybe the sponsor refused their proposal.

I think the title of the post should be sponsored wedding not marriage. My opinion though.
