Very funny quote!! How did the security agencies smash the plot? The PDP dominated like minds senators are in the majority and would definitely decide the next senate presidency if anything happens to Saraki.

Furthermore if they decide to reject Buhari's nominess, there is nothing the security agencies can do about it.
My dear you can imagin how some persons, who obviously do not understand how the system works, would sit down in their parlour and be writing rubbish. The author of this report is obviously mischievous.

Well I really think u av not taken tym to study Nigerian politicians, dey ar d most useless set of pple in d world, in dem u will find traitors, devil, unprincipled creatures, don't forget d popular saying dat in politics dia is no permanent enemy but permanent interest.

You will be shocked dat as soon as saraki is removed, plan B will take a different dimension, the PDP u think ar formidable would av bn polarized in such a way dat u will be left pondering on d game of magic.

Most of d senators knows dat dey ar crooks and once dey av been assured dat dey will give dem soft landing dey will play along, definitely PDP will be roasted and dey will support d president's choice, also don't forget dat politics is all abt permutations to suit ur being.

My advise is for dem to do d needful by finding a way to impeach saraki and look for a more credible and scandal free leader. Like d house of representative member said in d write up, dat it will be difficult to wage war against d president, percentage of dem has skeleton in both dia cupboard and overhead tanks and obviously it will be shown to dem one after d other.

All d bravado dat dey won't accept d ministerial list ar Jst lies, by d tym dey reconvened, d APC will challenge saraki's moral right to continue to preside over dem and demand dat he step aside until d determination of his case and of cus saraki being a confirm African greedy shameless as ever politician will refuse and proceedings will be stalled, Jst watch out d next seccession will be rowdy as ever.

#shame to our Senate for indulging an accused person.

Senate as currently constituted can be grouped into 3 - trust me it has nothing to do with political affiliation anymore:
1. Those who want to continue corruption and status-quo (most PDP senators and about 9 APC Senators fall in this group)
2. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption (most APC Senators fall in this group)
3. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption but cannot publicly declare their stands - (Most unexpectedly quiet Senators fall in this group).

If Adeyemi gets back to Senate with APC wild-card against Dino he will just end up as an APC Saraki. He will wear PDP jersey but will be scoring home goals in PDP net.
Pls in a good and concise English, can u explain what you are sayinghuh

4. SARAKI AND MOST SENATORS WILL NOT BE SO FO0LISH AS YOU THINK TO SHUTDOWN GOVT. Doing that will affect their political career in years to come.

As APC was in-charge when PDP was in power? Some people are living in their imaginations.
pdp already got the deputy senate president, all they need is a simple majority (to take over) which the in-fighting in apc can lead to, @least no one will ask anyone to step down since tambuwal & co refused to do same, hope u remember tambuwal under Apc was speaker in a pdp government. The greed of apc members might lead to their downfall.

While am strongly in support of the current fight against corruption,I will be also happy for the like mind Senators to gang up against Buhari by not screening his ministerial list. That is when the proper probe against people who has stolen from their state and Nigeria will start.Thank God it has started from the Senate. It will continue aggressively....Buhari govt has the records. It should be shocking to Nigerians how Saraki's past deeds was unfold.I was told that a former Senate president was arrested for money laundry some week ago.

Things have been been going on for some months now without minister. So their plot will not work as they will always be plan B.

.....what a welcome development.Let the fight continue

The hand that usher Saraki to CCT will deal with them likewise. They can plot but what will they do when CCt and EFCC come knocking? grin grin grin grin

Nigerian politics is so dirty that these so called Saraki loyalist may not be allowed into the senate chamber the day a new senate president will be chosen - they will only watch it on their iphones. Sad but true. To fight a President anywhere is the world is an herculean task - ask the Republican controlled US congress

Your hypothesis is theoretically plausible but having seen the way Saraki and PDP manipulated them in the June 9 election Baba will not drop any ball again. Baba now knows he is dealing with venomous snakes that is why Judges will be issuing arrest warrants without delay for any of them found wanting. OBJ tamed them - those were even more astute with less infractions to nail them.

Most of them are so dirty that they have their life-line one-way-or-the-other depend on the Presidency allowing the Judiciary and law enforcement agents to let them to rest.

A current Nigerian Senator is barely free of any social and prosecutable misdemeanor. He either has a documented case of stealing, killing, gun-running, bank killing, humungous bank loan default, bribery or forgery against him.

Akpabio (Senate PDP Leader) :
He contested primary election in a Senatorial district but contested election in a different Senatorial district
His term as Akwa-Ibom Governor is riddled with one of the highest pecuniary recklessness ever in public.
His credit card declining in UK did not just happen - he is one of DSS best friends now
He currently has petitions submitted by Akwa-Ibom people against him in EFCC, ICPC, even DSS
If he is toasted the masses do not care, we just watch him like a fiery villain that got tamed

Ekeremadwu:
He has been alleged to be one of the facilitators in Senate standing order forgery.
He can be arrested and prosecuted anytime.
You know what we masses will just laugh, celebrate and have fun

David Mark:

Incredibly, this David understands the rules of the game too well and has maintained a shrewd silence
It has also been alleged he is one of the facilitators in Senate standing order forgery

Buruji Kashamu:
This one needs no introduction

Bafarawa:

As an ex-Governor I recommend the EFCC, ICPC, and DSS to open his file and give him a Saraki treatment

Yerima:
Toast as accused. His files with security agents are inexhaustible

Goje:

Goje has files already with security agents. It is time to activate his sleeplessness.

Dino:

Can be sacrificed at the tribunal while Smart Adeyemi get a life-line

Ali ndume:
He has been alleged to have complicity in BH funding. He has been too free. Time to reactivate his case.

Stella Odua:

Her case files are still fallowing with the law enforcement agents

The public opinion is totally gloomy against the Senate already while Baba continues to enjoy a meteoric job approval with the masses.

For you information most us are just praying he starts sending people like our Senators and ex-Governors to jail and recovering the loots from them.

So PDP as well understands that Saraki's position is now untenable. cheesy

Let them keep "plotting", we aren't ignorant of their antics.

And for all those making wild projections from theories that are neither here nor there, it appears you guys are truly hard of learning- perhaps it is just a case of chronic amnesia. If history has taught us anything, my guess is it taught us never to speak in absolute terms as regards Nigerian politics- sometimes as a matter of fact, the uncertainty of the outcome of these events is as high as that of a rolled dice.

I'd rather sit and watch things unfold naturally.

And as for APC, they shouldn't make the grave mistake of projecting Akume for the President. The scandal that would break out would be unlike any ever recorded in the National Assembly. My brothers from my state know what I'm talking about. cheesy
Akume is a no-no!

APC needs a baggage-free candidate -- maybe a clean rookie senator.

They won't. This government will make sure that their mandate is not transfered to another party. i.e. if you want to decamp you automatically vacate the seat - you then contest under your new party and INEC will now have to pronouce a new result - that's how it's done in every sane society. Afterall we vote for party in Nigeria, I haven't seen a ballot paper with somebody's name on it. So the party has the mandate - that was how Amaechi could claim governorship postiton from Omeha in Rivers. The party won the election not the individual.

Sixteen years of PDP rule has made Senators, erroneously, believe:
& Sacrifices or pains are bad things and should be avoided
& They are meant to be hero-worshiped; hardly see themselves as public servants but royalties
& They can always get away with flouting court orders
& Every Executive submission to them as an opportunity to make some dough
& Everyone is corrupt so therefore no one can fight corruption
& Their budget and allowances are not so high so will not entertain any downward review
& Their position is to compete with Executive arm of government

1. Those who want to continue corruption and status-quo (most PDP senators and about 9 APC Senators fall in this group)
Senators in this category did not campaign nor believe in change and will continue to do everything to frustrate any change effort

2. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption (most APC Senators fall in this group)
Most Senators in this category campaigned for change but, definitely, not all of them believe it is possible. Because they campaigned for change they are somewhat morally bonded to support or appear to support change to inappropriate status-quo in the system

3. Those who are open to reform and fight against corruption but cannot publicly declare their stands -
Good men in both parties that believe inappropriate things in the system must be changed but due to their party or individual affiliation cannot always publicly declare their stands.

The worse the senate can do is dat dey will refuse to assent to the executive bills sent to them. Now, if those bills are clearly for the interest of Nigerians, I want to submit to you Sir dat it is the Senators dat Nigerians will stone!!
No need to look too far bro, Saraki is being stoned in Ilorin as we speak. #goodoverevil

We will stone and mob judge any politician that tries to obstruct this administration's goodwill.

Every president answers to someone or some organization. Either some political godfathers or even Western countries.

None of them got there on their own accord people supported them, financially and otherwise and thats who they answer to hence they become puppets of their masters

That's a wishful thinking and lack of understanding of demcoracy.

Senate president has no power to declare any seat vacant.

APC won majority of seats in the senate and will never be in opposition in the senate.

Saraki emergence is not just of working with PDP but denying some APC senators the opportunity to vote. The same tactic may be employed by APC to bring in their own senate president. Deny some PDP senators and APC rebels the opportunity to vote.
