Carpentry for lintels in progress, this is the final floor and we are already preparing for the roofing stage. More pictures later.

We are planning to cast the kitchen tops, this is not because we want to place plastic tanks on top of the roof but because we want this to be a measure to minimize the risk of fire outbreaks, especially from the top floor kitchens.

But I heard something from a bricklayer this morning.

That if 6" blocks are used in construction, people in different rooms in a building will be able to hear their voices which should not be so.

Please, is this true?

It is not the truth. I have lived in a house with 6" blocks as the partitioning walls.
