The Northerners are mostly uneducated, including their military; all they value is their religion and their rulers order. However, the Northern military are the one facing Boko Haram because it is an internal insurgency from their region.
The professional Nigerian military and our intelligence unit are mostly from the southern part, and they are law abiding.

Your country is a federation of states each one having relative autonomy over the territory it governs correct. What corresponding traits are you referring to boko haram is not just a northern problem its a nigerian and west african regional problem. The "professional nigerian military" is made up of all states/regions fact. Stop making excuses for your country's incompetence and military chiefs lack of oversight and discipline and general lack of a human rights culture within your largely illiterate military as a hole.

3) ISIL still holding large territories after thousands of air strikes.

Amended it, professional armies commit atrocities, that includes the United States which is considered the most professional of all. Stop foaming in the mouth. Atrocities are committed in war. Apartheid army special police units hunting down black fighters committed same atrocities.


Americans have also committed worse atrocities in their various wars in the mideast, we've also seen same in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

I'm not condoning it, however fact is, these isolated incidents aren't a Nigerian military policy.

This has been going on since the start of the anti boko haram campaign and this kind of acts together with other human rights atrocities is exactly what fuels people to join boko haram. What do you think the reaction will be amongst other youths who knew him and had no intention of becoming a militant?.

Start taking responsibility for such acts. This is why nobody is keen on selling arms to you.

It is indeed disturbing that a few misguided individuals in the army would relish in such a horrific endeavor.
But,of course,these guys could be boko haram members masquerading as army personnels in order to tarnish the impeccable image of our proffessional military.
We simply do not have solid evidence to back these pictures,and therefore we cannot jump into any educated conclusion.
