True talk my brother.
However,we should be cautious in condoning these extra-judicial misbehaviours, because it can be very addictive.
Our troops can do better than their American counter-parts.
You are saying it cos this one got posted online.

My brother, a lot happens behind the scenes in war. I only used the American example to prove my point that no military, no matter how professional is innocent of acts like this in warfare (behind the scenes)

There's nothing extra-judicial about killing a terrorist. It's the best punishment that suits them. Those animals don't deserve a trial that will cost taxpayers money.

True.
I am only concerned that soldiers who engage in such killings may become jaded and addicted to the perverse pleasure of serial-murder.
It is understandable that atrocities are always committed during warfare, even by the most professional world militaries: US and UK troops were accused of war-crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq,French troops in DRC are accused of rape and debauchery(as always) etc..But these western countries ensure that their soldiers returning from the war-front go through routine rehab and therapy before re-joining the society.

o really? So a 15 hour firefight is running away?

What then should we do to your army of 20 000 who ran away from Boko Haram for 4 years? they only stopped runnning when foreigners showed up and demonstrated what it means to fight!!

Or the 400 who were so terrified that they didnt stop running until they left nigeria!!
Citation needed.

If 20,000 Nigerian troops ran away from Boko Haram, Shekau will be sitting down in Abuja as Caliphate sultan by now.

Last time I checked, Shekau III is running away like a cowardly schoolboy who fears his headmaster's whip grin grin

No foreigner fired a single bullet in Boko Haram war, 5 PMC trained 120 men, those 120 men did not win a the war that is on a huge battle space as big as Scotland, or did SANDF use 400 men to secure a small Bangui city? 400 men of SANDF lasted only 15 hours against Seleka.

Show us how 120 men trained by PMC will defeat 20,000 Bokos spread all over North East land as big as Scotland.

Nigerians only with no foreign bullet fired, we won our war. SANDF has not won a war in 50 years grin grin

Draw an arrow on this picture where the IRST is

Because, when you realize where it is... then you realize why the F22 will win 90% of the time.
You too draw arrow and show the IRST, maybe you don't know what it looks like.

Su-35 radar detects stealth aircraft, the IRST is just an extra.

F-22 is doomed with it's shorter legged 72 km range missile, Su-30 SM fires first with 100 km range missile.

Yankee stealth Raptor is a dead and buried Fvcking-22 Raptor. Su-30 flanker wins .

So in short, it is rubbish that this is not published.

But never mind that, see your ignorance below. wink

[b]E-mails released through the Freedom of Information Act and published on the military blog Task & Purpose late Monday provide new perspective into what may have occurred. A Marine who was there at the time told public affairs officials that commanders ordered the bodies to be burned because U.S. troops were living in close proximity to them and the corpses were “literally exploding” from becoming bloated in the sun.

Your country is a federation of states each one having relative autonomy over the territory it governs correct. What corresponding traits are you referring to boko haram is not just a northern problem its a nigerian and west african regional problem. There's no thing as northern military under the federal nigerian laws. Do you even know what you talking about here, I doubt ithuh.

The "professional nigerian military" is made up of all states/regions fact. Stop making excuses for your country's incompetence and military chiefs lack of oversight and discipline and general lack of a human rights culture within your largely illiterate military as a hole.
Nigeria is not a country. It's stitch work by Europeans who collected people that had nothing in common and bonded them in a land the size of two South African provinces. It was left to bored colonialist housewives to name and deal with. grin

Stop foaming in the mouth. Atrocities are committed in war. Apartheid army special police units hunting down black fighters committed same atrocities.

Americans have also committed worse atrocities in their various wars in the mideast, we've also seen same in the conflict in eastern Ukraine.

I'm not condoning it, however fact is, these isolated incidents aren't a Nigerian military policy.
1.

With regards to Apartheid, that was targeted assassination. Not genocide.

The apartheid Army - the army so evil and reviled amongst all the people of the earth - never performed atrocities on the scale of the army of the "democratic" nigeria.

2. Americans have not.

A bullet on the head is worth just more than enough. Beaheading an enermy is a symbol of cannibalism and frustration. It is unprofessional and barbaric. As a military you can never copy what useless and uneducated terrorists do. After insurgency has been brought to an end the current Nigerian military need to be disbanded and a new military be reestablished.

Again you are wrong. Americans were not actually commiting atrocities, they were merely disposing the remains of insurgents by burning. Those were already dead bodies. However, it was also deemed to be improper to have crimated bodies in that manner.

Most people do not understand why Nigerian army had to behead this Boko Haram fighter :

1. Nigerian troops were forced by circumstances.....

2. The Boko Haram man refused to die from bullet shots.

3. He had juju or spiritual anti-death talisman, black magical powers.

4. The only way to kill him is with a metal blade like a sword or cutlass/machete

5. It's the reason troops all over the world are allowed by UN laws of war to carry Bayonets...long knives

6. Any enemy you cannot kill by bullet you are allowed by UN Geneva convention on war, to kill by Knife

7. What is wrong in killing by sword? In Bible and Quran days when no gun existed, how did soldiers kill?

8. In the olden days you use a sword and behead 100 enemies if you get a chance

9. There is no UN law that says an enemy fighter must be killed strictly by bullets

10. Nigerian army shot the Boko Haram fighter, he did not die, read the first page story from the poster again at the beginning of that other thread https://www.nairaland.com/2627990/military-cuts-off-head-boko/12#38508843, the Boko was a leader, he was said to be STRONG, so strong was his juju black magical powers that bullets failed to kill him, then Nigerian army had to use their UN permited legally allowed combat Bayonet to behead him.

ShutdownBrown24:
A Facebook friend of mind who is a military man & who is currently fighting the boko haram insurgents in the north east part of Nigeria shared this photo with me.

According to him, he said that the boko haram member was the strongest among the group, that the man resisted death , but the military over powered him and cut off his head.
It happens on some rare occasions on our streets in Lagos, OPC or local anti-robbery Vigilante (Even Issakaba anti-robbery vigilante in Igbo land) have caught armed robbers whose leader will be shot by bullets and still remain alive laughing, until the OPC or night guards/local hunters use a machete or cutlass to cut off his head.

Tell the United Nations why Nigerian army did it, Amnesty International does not make laws for war, the UN convention does it, and it allows the use of army mini-swords called Bayonets in battle, the law does not specify which part of the enemy's body you can use Bayonet to cut, just feel free to use it on him any part of his body considered necessary by you to effectively kill your enemy.

Bayonet is often called 'Weapon Of Last Resort' .....that is when Bullets fail in combat'

I dare the United Nations to challenge me on this.

Buhari is just playing politics with Obama (seeing as Obama is getting desperate and will accept help from even it's foes).

1) our air force lacks the capabilities

2) we still have boko haram to deal with

3) no Nigerian soldier will even think of dying for those racist Arab Kunts.

Honestly, I laughed when I saw the news. Obama and the west are really getting desperate.
