What a stupid thread. So Egusi is now Igbo? Una don mad finish. Why not post some watery soup made with yam, and then you eat it with yam on top. Are Igbo soups not watery? Idi*ot. . I have eaten soups everywhere and I don't see the nutritious or tasty food you are blabbing about. I have tried all the versions of Egusi, and the Yoruba original is the best. Only the efiks and Yoruba's pack their food with vegetables. Others use vegetable as a garnish. So which healthy soup are you talking about? If Jollof rice is not cooked by a Yoruba agoyin at a party, it will be terrible. That is a fact. |

To tell the truth, the OP BolaAdeyemo sounds like a very strange guy. Cooking is both a skill and an art. Those who know how to cook, and those who lack culinary skills, exist in each and every single tribe. His points would have made sense, if he was comparing food from two different cafeteria which exist side by side, which are owned by people from different ethnic groups (i.e. Yoruba and Igbo). If an Igbo woman who does not know how to cook, decides to prepare a meal for you, two things will happen. You will either vomit, or complain. The same goes for food prepared by any woman from any other ethnic group, who is not gifted in the kitchen. I have eaten different dishes from various parts of Nigeria, and quite frankly, I have enjoyed most of them. ![]() I really can't say which one I have enjoyed more. So this argument basically is pointless to me. Just my 2 cents. |
