Using concrete as pillar for fencing is quite expensive, is the land waterlogged?

the land is not water-logged. structurally this is how a fence should be strengthened. Though the re-bars are of small sizes. 10mm

the centre to centre spacing of the stirrups on the pillar is 300mm while the pillar spacing is 3m.
pls note that 3.5m spacing between pillars will also serve
we used 8mm rods for the stirrups

we're using 1:4:5
this is because we want to be economical with cement since these are not really load-bearing per se
the column for the fence is 225mmx225mm (9"x9"
pls note that the fence itself is of 150mm (6" blocks, so the columns have a 75mm (3" projection outside.
But gate columns are bigger. They are 450mmx450mm (18"x18" reason being that our gates are quite weighty

If you are working with the right sizes of re-bars, bent and tied to specification as provided on your structural drawings.
and you are using the 42. 5R grade Portland cement then this mix will work for your columns, slabs and beams.
But you must ensure strict supervision and make sure you don't allow them to over-fill the head-pans or wheelbarrows during batching

Pls my engr. What was the size of the rings for the 225mm and 450mm columns (I mean the bending not thickness). I'm talking about the box formed by the rings.

Pls bend to give 1-inch or 25mm concrete cover. i.e. 175mm for the 225 column and 400mm for the 450 column measuring out-to-out. @ what stage is your building now johnson232?
