Would you know how the northern elites get their wealth and why there is so much more mass poverty up there compared to the south, which in itself is not too well off on all indices of modern societal life:

- education for all children.
- tap water
- primary health clinics
- good roads

Hopefully you or someone else can share useful insight on this question
