I'm warming up seriously for Summer 2016, I haven't applied to any school yet though.

Wrote my Listening,Writing and Reading IELTS on 26th September. My speaking Test is Tomorrow. Wish me luck grin

Please I'm still waiting to get my transcript from RSUST. Anyone that can help fasten the process please let me know.

PLEASE I NEED THOSE WHO HAVE DONE CERTIFICATE NOTARIZATION IN PORTHARCOURT TO TELL ME WHERE THEY DID IT PLEASE. JUST OFFICE ADDRESS AND HOW MUCH YOU DID IT PER DOCUMENT PLEASEEE.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by studiedirekt: 5:32am On Oct 02, 2015
In Port Harcourt- Search for a notary public lawyer and this should be possible at the High Court.

Also lawyers know other lawyers find one lawyer then find a notar. *Make sure it has a seal*

Your supposed to be communicating more by telephone for spontaneous response.

At this stage the University is the only one that can move the Auslaenderbehorde( Foreigners office) in the city of study.

Actually your files are sent to the city of study they do not stay that long in Berlin. The Immigration's Office in the City of study give the final say.

Pick a phone call the International office of the school tell them the situation. You may have to politely disturb offices with phone calls, some may just push your case aside because another student just called 3mins ago.

Hampy:
I also asked for extension from my school. My enrolment is Oct 1 and lectures begin Oct 5th. Someone here said Foreign Office Berlin takes at least 6 weeks for student visa processing because they are overwhelmed with the refugee situation. Everything will be fine bro. It will come out soon.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by studiedirekt: 5:48am On Oct 02, 2015
The seal is important. No seal no consideration, some schools even reject it still if the notarisation is not from the German Embassy Lagos.

You are not to be using google.

"Find a lawyer find a notar"

Someone in your family should have a friend that is a lawyer or someone you know should know a lawyer that knows a notar.
Normal lawyers can not help you- its not their specialisation.

Go to choba just by uniport, I think it is 200 naira per document, as for the transcript, if this is your first time of applying for it, then it would definitely take time, sometimes up to one month depending on the school, in uniport you get it in one month for your first time and 1 week if it isn't your first time, but you have to follow them up.

Well I've really tried but the Notars always charge 5000 naira here, it's just too expensive, how about buying the seal for the lawyers? Cause there's just no money for Notary coupled with the whole application cost

That is so illegal. Your not a Lawyer and 5000naira is not expensive compared to me paying 10,000naira for a set of documents then still paid for DHL postage as well

Schools normally accept it, it's just a uniassist thing, your question to him should be did uniassist accept it?

I did d certification of my photocopies @ the ministry of Justice here in ibadan and none of my documents had a seal, Only a stamp that said ' Certified true copy' with the signature of the Commissioner of oaths at the ministry, with the date d docs were certified so bro, relax don't let anyone scare u with seal or no seal gist, it's not necessary. I used the same docs to apply and I got admission to 3 different schools under uni-assist. i'll advice u to go to the ministry of Justice at your state's secretariat and certify ur docs there, here in ib, I was thru under 30 mins and it was very cheap, I think 3 copies for #100 or thereabout.

My 2 cents!

Thank you for mentioning ministry of justice and the commissioner of oaths at the ministries. Do those two bodies look like the same authority from a normal Notary public officer? Why didnt you get the stamp from a normal Notary Officer then.

The problem is that 2 of the schools I want to apply for are both under uni-assist so I don't know if there's any student here that just used certified documents through uniassist and he or she was offered admission

Good day Tinder. I may be contradicting what you already know, or might have been told. I certified my documents at Federal High Court, station road, PH, and all the schools I applied to, including uni-assist accepted it. I am currently enrolled in one of the schools I got admitted in through uni-assist, I even have my ID already, and the seal/stamp hasn't been an issue. My certified documents had no seal, simply 2 stamps and a signature (or 2). So my friend, don't be scared.

Why will you want to notarize an already certified document

The amount of cooperation and support on this thread is massive and I am so glad to be a part of this caucus.

As my moniker says, I'm an aspiring filmmaker and I would like to take advantage of Germany's free Uni Education to study filmmaking.

I would be glad if anyone could help me with the procedure as I am very sure the requirements would be less rigorous than other medical courses as outlined here.

Thanks.

Good day house. May not be easy coming on here as frequently as before. Started lectures on Monday and it has not been easy; Naija education has a long way to go. cry cry

If there's anyone that may need my assistance, especially concerning the city of Kiel, kindly drop a PM; I will still be dropping by from time to time though.

As for tomorrow, all roads lead to HAM grin grin

Firstly, are you going for a Bachelors, Masters, or just a certificate program?
Secondly, what's your highest qualification?
Thirdly, are you intending to study in German or English?

Congrats, since your visa is confirmed now, fund your account, then go with the debit alert from your bank in case if they request for evidence of it, you may not need to wait for db confirmation

Yes, I mean primary and secondary of course. For English taught Education courses. That's not in existence in Germany the last time I checked. You must have very good knowledge of German (C1 at least).

As regards the issue, I told you they will likely not respond that you should have done the transcation using a supplementary form. Read the FAQ on DB international students website. They hardly confirm subsequent transactions. Try clicking the "new account balance" option on the contact form.

Thanks bro, I got the updated balance yesterday. Had to inform a friend that was in germany already to enter the bank premises for me. Thank u for your time. Can i have your phone number tho, I'd like to talk to you.

This same message was sent to someone for this past summer application but the girl was scared so she funded, I think she didn't send them the confirmation but just took it along just in case and she was given her visa.....congratulations, go to Deutschland and succeed.

I'm intrested in either a certificate program or a bachelors.

I have WAEC and I just got admitted to a state University here.

Of course, I'll study in German because it's a prequesite .
