Paul had often admonished that we remember the poor. So we do such for our own fruit of righteousness

But that's not what will bring the poor out of poverty . He's still poor being a beggar. The bible say a man who doesn't work shouldn't eat. We demonstrate and exercise ourselves in love by alms giving as well as other forms of giving the bible talks about .

I thought you knew what you're talking about. ... . I said that to pinpoint your usage of that verse saying Christ was preaching prosperity gospel because that verse said he went about preaching the gospel to the poor and since we both agreed he wasn't going around dashing people, the poor money. Apparently, the poor in that verse are people without the gospel but you keep going in circles. Stop using scriptures to say what you want to say, let scriptures speak for themselves.

This is really surprising coming from Pastor Chris cos ive not a seen a more money loving and grabbing church than Christ Embassy which has commercialised every aspect of the gospel. Everything in the church is paid for. Nothing is given free. If that is not love for money I wonder what is.

Then there is a giving which is greater than Joagbaje'' socalled principle. it is giving in love with no expectations of what you get in return. Christ exemplified this by giving his life. That is what the Good Samaritans did too. In all of Christ message that is what he taught. Today it is different with the socalled prosperity gospel. Avery selfish and self serving religion that is all about you and your prosperity.

And Mr. Agbaje, i know of many people in your church who have followed your principle and are very broke because of it. very broke.

The bible speak for itself . The poor refers to those lacking materially . Physical poverty just as the good news to the blind is to the physically blind and healing was brought to them . The good news to the poor is their inheritance in God t which grants them dominion over lack or poverty

No apostle was poor by choice; they were poor because they had enough sense not to swindle the masses. They preached eternal life to dying masses and they did it for free

Did this reach the saints in Jerusalem because they verily received the gospel but remained dirt poor?

If Joe's principle were to be true, the early Christians would have been very, very rich. But history recorded that most of them died poor and were persecuted. Paul was an artisan who made nets and relied on gifts to survive. Surely this principle should have made him very rich. But Joe would tell you that revelation is progressive and that's why such knowledge is common now.

Secondly if Joe's principles work, like 2 plus 2 makes 4, then you don't need to save. You just give out your money and you receive huge sums in return. But no organization saves like the church. Then you try telling that to the church when you need help about how giving is good. They will tell you the church is not a charitable organization. Surely that principle should work for them too?

The Joe's principle is sweet when you are at the receiving end, like the church.
