HOW TO GRADUATE WITH FIRST CLASS- MY EXPERIENCES AND LESSONS LEARNT
This is a sequel to a thread I created some months ago where people asked me on tips on how to graduate with first class. Without much ado, I'll be summarizing some tips which you may find useful in your quest to graduate with first class degree.Let's go there *winks*.

Tip number 1. LIKE WHAT YOU DO AND DO WHAT YOU LIKE.
You may be wondering what I mean by that, isn't it?. Well, this point is for those that are not given their preferred course of study. You might have students saying " I'm just doing this course because that's the course I was given rather than this is the course I want to study". Most often than not, students who find themselves in this situation are less motivated. As you'll see from subsequent tips that motivation is key to academic success. let me give you an instance of a room mate of mine in 100L, he choose to study fine art but unfortunately we had 2 other roommate that are studying architecture. Those guys were able to convinced him that architecture is better. He (fine art student)then decided to write Jamb the following year to seek admission into architecture because change of course is not easy. So he wasn't too serious with fine art again. Unfortunately, he didnt get admission into architecture when he wrote the jamb and he hasn't performed too well in architecture. one bad side of the CGPA system ee are using is, your 100L mess will forever be there to haunt you till you graduate. If you found yourself in this situation, just do your best in any course you're given. A first class in a course you don't like is better than a third class in your preferred course *winks*

Tip number 2. FOUNDATION IS KEY
Your first GPA in school wil go a long way in determining what you'll graduate with. You may ask why is it like that? Well, the the cumulative grade point average CGPA used in most universities around the world requires adding your previous grade points to current grade points and dividing by sum total of credit units you registered. This means your first GP in 100L has a way of affecting your last CGPA which in turns determine your class of degree. So it is better to start with a GP of 4.2 than having 2.4. I personally started with 4.38. In fact it is easy to have 4.5 and above in your first semester because what you'll be doing is basically O'level coupled with little A'level.
More hints on the way
Tip number 3. BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER FLOCK TOGETHER
As much as possible, try to mingle with people that have the same aim with you. Just like we have seen on this thread, they will always be people who will try to discourage you from achieving your aim. You don't need to be surrounded with too much negativity, be positive. SHOW ME YOUR FRIEND AND I'LL TELL YOU WHO YOU ARE.
4.MOTIVATION IS KEY
I'll explain fully when I charge my phone. Good night

Look out for error? Naah, did not need to. The heading was screaming at me. I did not even bother reading the article.

If indeed the OP graduated with a 1st class, unless he studied in a francophone country, his/her school should be sanctioned. grin

Look my friend, graduating with first class is no longer a guarantee to success not only in Nigeria but also in advanced countries. I think the focus should be on solopreneurs /home business. This is the new trend

"HOW TO GRADUATE WITH FIRST CLASS"...IF YOU READ THIS SUBJECT AND DIDNT FIND ANYTHING ABNORMAL ABOUT IT THEN YOU CANT BE A FIRST CLASS GRADUATE......WHAT IT TAKES TO GENUINELY COME 1ST IN PRIMARY SCHOOL IS SAME AS IT TAKES TO GRAD WITH FIRST CLASS IN MSC LEVELS.
